I did not make it this year, over the last few years the trout derby has been reduced to a "red-neck" beer bash. Not a place one would want to take there family and children.
Although this year I herd it was a real cut up. lol

It's a crazy place down there but when bear gets gets in the way and DL (Donald) who i know very well his hot temper and bad attitude and im sure some fighting, bad stuff like this happens. Beer never mixes well with big mouths. Im sorry this happened. What happend to family events and enjoying them with one another??

Donald is a great guy and I would drive 750 more to be there for him again if needed. Please consider the feelings of family members when you write these comments though PPl. You may be a family member of a victum someday and reading stuff like this may hurt you.

I live in Wellsville and I know that fore the last few years I have not entered the derby, for one, more and more people think that its nothing more than a party and for two, who wants to fish when you have these intoxicated people fishing near you. Its rediculous to think that for a fun family event its turning out to be nothing more than a drunk fest. This town never use to be this bad!

everyone needs to hear the truth. frank is not the only one to blame. hes not the only one who had a knife and used it. think about his family and friends. his wife is home with her neck cut because of the whole thing. he was only protecting his family. who else would do that? everyone!!!

As a person who knows the whites and have for several years I am having to defend them on here. This is ridiculous if you any of you that is were to see your own wife have a knife pulled on them and cut in anyway shape or form you would defend them anyway you knew how. From what the wlsv pd say the whites wife and husband were walking past the campsite of DL and they were drunk all of them and dl and friends started yelling profanities and saying a bunch of things and then a fight broke out. Then somehow dl took out a knife and cut the wifes throat so then white took and defended her by getting the knife from the dl guy. If i am not mistaken they all three had cuts from the same knife. And as someone who knows the white I really do not believe in any way shape or form that he would stab his own wife. So there fore i am partial to believe that this knife came from dl and the wife was cut first they then left the site of the incident to go to a safer camp and then called the cops. An off duty ambulance worker also bandaged the wifes neck but apparently not good enough because then she was taken to the hospital shortly there after.
And if dl goes after any women he should be charged as well. Regardless of whos wounds are worse. Just because the whites fended him off better than he did them doesnt mean that he gets off scott free.
And for the family of dl that are writing not to talk about this on the site. You all should think about all who are involved I mean for godsakes the whites have a very young child that they have to explain this mess to!!!!

regardless of whites past this is a total different issue considering his wife was cut. I mean use common sense no matter how much a person runs there mouth you do not ever if your a real man pull a knife on a women!
