You probably have the right to stop spending money you don't have and avoid overdraft fees altogether.
.. Saying a service for a check to go through is fine but shuffling debts to create abusive fees that snowballs goto more abuse is a scam to maximize there profits

I made 2 transaction mistakes. And it rippled into an over $400 overdraft fee issue. I contacted the better business bureau. Two weeks ago I got them to fix 3 overdrafts they caused me for charging me a fee for 42 cents. Then last week they to refuse to help me and have drained my savings over a ripple effect after 2 transactions. I keep depositing money from a savings account outside of them and everytime I think I have it stabized they hit me again, but they refuse to see that I have charges 13 fees now and have been trying to fix it. They have no cap and they don't stop. They are crooks. I am changing banks that was the last straw. I can admitt faultafter a couple fees, but they dont take til late in the afternon after you think everything is okay its a bit much. And instead of them being charged rationally they let abigger transaction through first and nickel and dime for all the small ones.

Nobody expects banks not to charge overdraft fees. If you overdraft your account - then you get charged. But its two big things they do to screw the Americans with the least amount of money.#1 the reodering rules. They hold transactions as "pending" for several days then when one big transaction comes in their system posts it first tripping multiple fees. BAD DEAL - BAD BAD BAD.#2 $35 per transaction? Really? How much does it really really cost to process those transactions. What over industry is allowed to charge such criminally extortionate fees. Here's what I love - when the person working at the bank manages to convince themselves that this is ok? Ugh - Join together Americans - even tho the rules are changing to put an end to this - I'm looking for a million people to take TD bank to small claims court to get their money back.

They charged me 8 times overdraft fees . TOTAL $1000 transaction only 20 over they should pay other 7 transactions however its covering all charges except last one ridicioulusly 8 TIMES overdraft fees( bank manager Liz seem to be dont care about it )

I made 6 transactions all for different various amounts. I had enough available funds to cover ALL of the transactions. After each transaction was made, I checked my online banking to see if the money was withdrawn from my account, which it was. Then on the 7th transaction I went $6 over and was charged one overdraft fee of $35. Understandable since it was my mistake. But the thing that bothers me is that the 6 transactions i made before were all pending. and i was charged 6 overdraft fees because of them. EVEN THOUGH the money was withdrawn on the day of the purchase. What is this nonsense?

I just checked my account last night to see if a transaction had cleared.
What to my surprise another 2 overdraft fees. So, I get on the phone with Customer Service. The lady of course has some lame excuse that I do not see on my computer what they see. This is not the first time they have told me this.
I ask for a manager. The manager comes on and tells me to go to my branch. A mark has been put on my account to no longer refund overdraft fees.
I go into my branch this morning. The lady there tells me a deposit that shows as cleared on the 7th was not available on the 7th. So there was not enough money to cover the transactions.
It clearly shows that the deposit cleared on the 7th. Now they are telling me this money was not available.
One time I actually asked the customer service rep if they go to classes to learn all of these lame excuses they give their customers as to why they have been charged overdraft fees.
I want a class action suit against this bank for stealing my money and the money of all of those out there who have had these lame excuses told to them too.
Please inform me or contact me if anyone knows of a class action suit I can get involved in.

They nailed me too.. $1800 in overdrafts. I'm in NJ, they're doing it everywhere. They're system stalks and robs their customers accounts. Always six transactions and you're looking at $200 in overdraft fees. Wells Fargo in a class action lawsuit over this, judge ordered Wells to pay $203mill back to customers.

TD Bank & Bank of America manipulate transactions to increase service charge revenue. Anyone know of a bank in New Jersey who does not operate like this?

Td bank, the most inconvenient bank in the world. yes they are open at more convenient times than other banks because they want to maximize there client base so they can rob them blind.I also have been paying hundreds per month in over draft fees on my personal and bussiness accts 4 accts total. and I am organized so it is a scam. Also anyone experience the frusration of the following. The atm says 4700 available balance. Great! just to confirm I see one of the managers and ask her to check my acct and tell me how much is available. she tells me 4700 is available today. I say great I would like to access 4500. Oh we cannot do that.so I say "so it's not available? she says yes it is. I say then give me 4500 of my available funds.she says "no can do. I say "so it;s not available"? she says "well technically it is, giving me the quote unquote sign with her little fat fingers, but we will have to confirm the check the money came from". I say "so it's not available? "well" she says. I finish her sentence for her its a scam your saying.she exclaims "oh no it's not" I say to her " is your manager available"? She says yes.I ask her if I can see her now. she says yes. I say "Great"! I ask her if her manager is available on her day off. She says she don't understand the question. I say is your manager available although she is not present in the building? she snickers and says of course not. I say is my money in the building. she says of course. I say so it is available correct. At this point she spontaneously combusts into a smelly smoking cloud of stupidity. well she didn't blow up but i sure wanted to.How can i join a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
