From the article:

Martinez brushes off criticism.

A lot of people may not be interested. They are busy. They have their own religion. But there are many people searching for help. They may be depressed. And they find a comforting, soothing message, he said.
**********

THEY MAY BE DEPRESSED.
And they find a comforting, soothing message.

They sure do because they are looking for anything that will lift their spirits and when the JW knocks on their door with the paradise carrot they fall for it.

Then they attend a kingdom hall and are love bombed.

Everything is good if they 'progress' to baptism.

If not, the JW's will forsake them and the depression gets worse, sometimes to the point of suicide.

Perhaps UNchained is jealous because Jesus is drawing the downtrodden and broken hearted to Jehovah's Witnesses rather than UNchained's religion?

Gareth, if a bible study terminates the study do Jehovah's Witnesses treat them the same way they did before they terminated the study?

*** Have You Been Studying for Six Months?***

In view of the short time left in which to do their work, Jehovahs witnesses do not continue to study the Bible with any who fail to respond to its urgent message within six months. The nearness of this systems end compels them to use their time in the most effective way possible. So they feel obligated to spend their time calling on someone else who might respond by attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall and by speaking to others about the Bible truths learned. Thus it may be that if you have not as yet responded by even becoming a regular attender at some of the congregation meetings, the one who is studying the Bible with you may cancel that study arrangement in order to give his time to someone else.

Showing poor suffering folks pictures of. Living in Fiji and telling them they will be living here before folks from the 1914 gen die off for anyone who can count how old such persons are

And all they need to do in the meantime is hawk these same books in their neighborhood telling folks about the gen of 1914 not dying off

LAST MINUTE UPDATE

WT MEMO

The gen of 1914 program has been canceled

“We have a great relationship with Long Beach. The city fathers have been just wonderful to us,” convention spokesman Howard Martinez said."

And we’ve been good to the city. We are very respectful. We hope to set an example on human living, and I think that has led to the fine reception we get in Long Beach.”
&&&&&& @&&&

This is a perfect example of JW being clueless as to politics

It's not your "example on human living"

It's the revenue that your group generates

JW don't realize that conventions of all sizes are loved by politicians and the tax revenue offices

Think about this folks - Jw have been holding conventions in cities for decades -typically it's the same elders who form the local convention organization and the same city officials they interact with year in year out

Yet in all your years as a JW have you ever heard of any city official after seeing this mass organization of worker bees cleaning and dressing nicely and being polite say

God must be with these people and i want to know more and you hear if him getting baptized at this convention
Have you heard if anyone in city hall who has become a JW due to being WOW!!!! By the conventions

Probably not- the reason is JW despite thinking they are special are just another religious group

It could have been TD JAke - Joel Olsteen or any if the other mega church programs held each week somewhere around the USA and other countries

Jw are just another source of tax revenue
Local businesses say they see an uptick in business, though spread out over 15 weekends it doesn’t feel anything like the annual weekend packed with racing enthusiasts.

“We see a bump in revenue. It can be up to 15 percent when (the Witnesses) are in town, but it is not every time,” said Ken Stewart, general manager of Broadway Pizza and Grill.

“It’s noticeable but not substantial,” agreed Ernie Romo, general manager of King’s Fish House on Broadway. Romo said the restaurant gets a handful of additional tables in for early dinner when the Witnesses are in town.

Still, collectively the conventions are directly responsible for an estimated $335,000 in transient occupancy tax collected by the city every year, according to the visitors bureau.

Years ago, the Witnesses’ Los Angeles region had one large convention at Dodgers Stadium, but as it grew in popularity, in 1994 leaders moved the gathering to Long Beach and broke it into several smaller events.

While Jehovah’s Witnesses only make up 0.7 percent of U.S. population, according to a 2008 survey by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, the faith is thriving.

Long Beach alone has more than 2,500 Witnesses, and the organization boasts some 17 million participants internationally. Long Beach is just one of 105 cities in the U.S. to hold conventions this year. The next nearest is in San Diego. And similar events will be held all over the globe. All will have the same message, Martinez said.

People who always say what Jehovah's witnesses are doing or will do, are completely in dense darkness, they know nothing about what Jehovah's witnesses are doing, they only speculate and say what they believe is true to them.

Ex-Jehovah's witnesses are the worst, they are condemned to eternal death, and since they have no future, they don't want anyone else to have a future either, they sure don't want the guileless to talk to the witnesses and learn the truth about Jesus.

The meek people of this earth will listen and obey Jehovah's direction through Jesus our reigning King in heaven today, and they will adjust their thinking and lives to be in harmony with the Law of Christ to survive the end of this unrighteous world, ruled by Satan.

Many ex JWs know more about what is happening in the org than current witnesses The whole ex JW community new about the recent FADS new light long before the rank and file. Most JWs know nothing about the sexual abuse cases going on and the millions Watchtower have handed over to their victims
