We lived in France, between 1962 - 1966. My Dad was in the Army and stationed with S.H.A.P.E. We first lived in an old french house heated by coal and then moved to gov't quarters in DeGrasse Village, near Feucherollese We loved it there and have many happy memories sightseeing. My Dad was a parttime projectionist at Camp DeLoge and Camp Voluceau. My Mom has pictures we took in France of the local sights.

Hi, coming to this late after searching Buttercup's chicken shack, but here it is. I was at Camp des Loges, 1963-1966 in the 275th signal co. I spent most of off hours hanging out in the jazz clubs and generally staying off post. I would welcome hearing from my old friends or anyone caring to contact me.<quoted text>
Sir:

My name is Bill Mitchell. My father built radio towers at Camp Des Loges. He was a sargent. His name was James (Bill) Mitchell. His best friend was Harry Tipton. Do you recall knowing either of these men?

Thanks

Glad you have good memories of your stay in Bussac. Worked for the
POL Headquarters then. Nearest barracks to the airfield. Also have great memories. I have been married to a GI for almost 55 years.
