Really.....the school system needs a multimillion dollar building that will require a huge payment each month on air/heat, lawn maintenance, janitorial, etc. I know the airconditioning in that place ran about $15,000 a month. Why should the taxpayers be responsible for putting a group of people in an oversized building that is way too much for their needs. They need to find something much more practical. AS a taxpayer I say NO!

They need the space for more executives. The country club is running out of room. ;o)
Seriously though, they need to maintain the "upper-class" lifestyle regardless of the effects on middle and lower class populations. The "haves" will be more than content with a servant population whose highest realizeable ambition is to be able to shop at Wal-Mart and Dollar General.
I'm not a socialist by any means . I just read the writing on the wall.

If you don't like where you are in life then do like those that have and bust your ass to get ahead in business and life. Make the sacrifices that 99% of the populations will not make. That is the real difference between those that have and those that do not. When people are at home - after work - drinking a beer, having dinner, watching tv, playing on the computer, etc. those that have are still working in one way or another on their businesses or for the companies they represent. The welfare mentality of poor little me is outdated.

As for the school system getting the Pilgrim's building. It is a bit much. They could have done well with much, much less. This has contributed to a huge drop in tax revenue to Camp County. I'm sure the tax office is looking for creative ways to tax the population to make up for it.

Most people on internet discussion forums use fictional names in order to protect their privacy ( never know when you're going to piss off a psycho).

Is MERD your real name ? Seriously ? Wow, your parents were MEAN .

I agree with you on the work ethic , Tex. Too many people today are just not motivated enough to get better than a minimum wage job yet they'll whine about "the man" keeping them down. I guess my post was influenced by my own view of Pilgrim's . When they built the World Headquarters , they filled it up by giving major promotions to all the "good old boys " . We were top heavy with executives making extremely large salaries yet couldn't afford to give the workers a dime raise ?

Agreed again . Glad I don't own a lake house on the Camp County side of Sandlin. MP's not much better though . The appraisal district had a perfectly fine office but decided to move to much more expensive real estate on West Ferguson .

Nice office with marble counters and ceramic tile floors . Makes me smile to see my taxes put to such good use. lol

Well, I don't work for Pilgrim's, never have and never will. People have usually got to start somewhere, usually in a company and work their way up the corporate ladder. If you can only get so far on the corporate ladder then you either need to tuck in your balls and stay there miserable forever or strike out on your own or at another company that appears to offer a better opportunity. 99.9% of people would rather tuck in their balls and whine like MERD has than go somewhere else or try to create their own company. We've become a welfare society because of Democrats, entitlement programs and people feeling that they are entitled and everything should be handed to them. That is socialism and that belongs in another country, not ours. Obama got elected because he promised to keep the benefits flowing to the little man that is kept down by the large corporations. Well, when Obama starts taxing the large corporations they will simply downsize their workforce and have the remaining workforce do more work for less. The math is simple yet the educated idiots in Washington that have never ran a business do not know any better. Pilgrims did alot of good and they also made alot of mistakes. Bo Pilgrim built the company and he took a few gambles that did not work out. I've read alot of the complaints on Bo, but no one was complaining publically when they were making money. It was his company so sink or swim the shots were his to make. It's unfortunate though that so many people were affected, but this happens in corporations daily across the United States in all industries. Enough for tonight I just actually ran across this site by accident.
