I'm a quilter who sent money in for next year's show in good faith. Singh cashed my check for over $700 and I'll probably never see that money again. I have enjoyed coming to Paducah for years now and have loved the show, the museum, the restaurants, the courteous citizens, and the riverwalk area. This one man has ruined the Paducah experience for me forever.
Please don't let the few sour you on the many. Even I gripe about the quilters when it's time for you to come to town. But what small town's population does hold some contempt to the tourists coming in. The City of Paducah on a whole loves the quilters, maybe not their driving :), but we love the quilters. Hopefully everything will come out alright, we can put this mess behind us, and see each other in a few months.

Let us remember that the hotel was in horrible condition BEFORE the current owner bought it. This is just an attempt to blame it on a foreigner to run him out of town. This is very sad behavior.
Sorry to burst your sympathetic bubble but this man is a fraud who has personally stolen money from me and my colleagues. In addition he has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from small independent truck owners when he ran a company called Pacific Direct out of Riverside,CA.
So call a spade a spade, trash is trash regardless of its ethnical background. My advice to all dealing with this immoral bastard is to form a class action suit against him and finally hold him accountable.

I personally know a dozen different independent truck owners that he stole money from when he owned Pacific Direct, Riverside, CA. Turbin or no turbin the man and his wife Daljeet are a grifter's at best. They are both among the most gifted liars I have ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. If you are thinking about becoming involved with them, don't. You will regret it.

Bupender Singh is the greatest man ever to walk the earth. I can't believe all the horrible things you people are saying. I read where he's going to invest $18 mill into the Big E. Just kidding he's a crook and I hope they can prove he ripped off the quilters. Our great mayor ought to be held accountable for some of this blame as well.

Singh is many things....honorable - NO, trustworthy - NEVER,

DO NOT TRUST A THING HE SAYS.

Ask the Chief of Police about New Year's Eve last year.

There is so much that even the Mayor does not know.

I have stayed at this hotel on business many times and most always enjoyed my stays there. When the new owner took over the prices doubled in JR's and it seemed like they wanted to run the local workers out when they took over. Things that needed attention just got ignored and the place started to diminish to what it is now. I can stay just about anywhere I wanted and I chose the E because I liked the people and location. Really like the show on Wednesdays by some guy named Essay. That guy could really play the guitar. Always enjoyed the singles dance on Monday nights too. I guess all that is history now so next time I will have to look for another place to have some fun.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Libra

Don't hold anything in, especially an emotional burden. The only way to drown the past is to open the floodgates. If you've got something to say, come right out and say it. The only people who might be offended by your honesty don't really matter in the grand scheme of things anyway, Libra. Great changes flow smoothly through your day. When you take charge, everyone feels at home.
