The public is now finding out that the Bedford NH police department took a VERY LONG TIME to actually enter the dwelling while the homeowner was being violated by a crazed madman. Apparently, our typically proud police chief had to tell the public that it took "30 minutes and probably longer" for enough officers to drag thier fannies over to the residence in enough numbers to feel safe enough to do their jobs.
Folks, this story is a great example of just what we can expect from our police department when we really need them: a slow response and a show of fear. The Bedford NH police department's normal comfort zone is issuing speeding tickets to honest law abiding members of society who happen to be traveling a few miles on hour over the posted speed limit. That, and munching on donuts while parked safely out of harms way....
The Bedford NH police department should be ashamed of themselves for their cowardness. And, the Taxpaying Public should be rightfully outraged.

Oh that story the Police Chief gave last night about needing numbers is a load of crap! Fire Fighters walk into burning buildings all the time to rescue people! Instead the cops probably sat back, finished their donuts, and then went up to the dwelling. The wife was outside and said there was only one man (other than Dr. Quesada) in the house, what a lame excuse! The Bedford Police aren't used of handling things of this nature...they are more equipped to pull a kitty out of a tree than to address a crime as brutal as this! What a bunch of lazy schmucks you have over there in Bedford! Don't the police take an oath promising to "Protect & Serve"?? The only thing they protected that night was themselves and probably while they served donuts!! You cops up there are a DISGRACE to the badge!! What you boys need to do is MAN UP, BUST THAT DOOR DOWN, and get the perp NOT let one of the worlds BEST dr's get beat to death!! You don't wait when there's a fire, you should've never waited that long to save Dr. Q! Actually, all the credit should go to Dr. Quesada for putting up with a beating for that long and actually survive!!

As you say, a police department such as this is not mentally equipped for real live police work. Small time cops spend the bulk of their careers badgering teenage boys over trivial matters and hassling the Taxpaying Public for minor traffic infractions. The same traffic infractions that the cops, their friends and their families all get a free pass for. When a real need comes along for actually performing what they like to make believe they are facing each and every day; they quickly show their true charactor.
Needless to say; if this home invasion had happened at the home of a cop or his family, the response time and the willingness to put themselves into harms way would have been a whole lot different.
These girly men better think twice before they ask the Taxpaying Public for even more money for "risking their lives every day that they are on the job". What a bunch of crapola!
