Towns should learn to live within their means, town and school employees' salaries should be covered by the budget. Maybe if the benefit packages were not so exorbitant there would be no need for more from the state. By keeping 6.25% sales tax we are driving more and more residents to N.H. to purchase taxable goods. The end result will be less taxes collected.

re.NO THANKS Chelmsford's teachers have been giving their best to students for years... look at the successes grads are.. and the consistent high scores studetns achieve.. and how many people have moved to the town because of the school system Re. your logic about teachers just being thankful for jobs.. would seem NO THANKS would feel the same about slavery... slaves should be thankful for having a place to live, food, etc.

Voters who voted against a lower tax rate in Mass, must be people who don't pay income taxes.
They told the powers-that-be that they approve higher taxation.
Ironically. the Legisislators would have repealed a vote to reduce taxes, as they did after the last ballot question that succeeded. But the politicians, this time, can proclaim (at their next campaign) that higher taxes is "The will of the people."
The same people also voted to re-elect politicians involved in the looming financial collapse of the country
The folks who worked so hard for us to get question #3 on the ballot have learned that it is a useless endeavor in a State such as Mass., where the "takers" outnumber the "makers".

Your kidding right...you have a choice and it sounds like it is time for you to go. If you do not like the salary, find a job that pays more. Some of us actually have made a tradeoff and don't "love" our jobs but we do like our salary. It's called work for a reason.
