Lawrence officer arrested in Pelham

A Lawrence police officer is facing charges of kidnapping and rape after being arrested on Route 38 Tuesday morning.

Um, didn't the 5 o' clock news say he was in uniform and on duty? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Do we see now why I trust no one and answer my door with a baseball bat in hand?

He was on duty when the incident occurred. He was not on duty when he was arrested. You'll not the 'not on duty' statement is attributed to the Pelham PD.

First please tell me why a Lawrence MA police officer is residing in NH???? Isn't it mandatory that police live in the state that they are working for??????

A VERY long time ago, officers had to live in the town where they worked, or within a certain distance..

It's not a silly statement,,,, Revere requires their officers to live in Revere. It's not enforced but it is a requirement.
