Sounds like three counts of murder and somebody going to prison for life so others that know anything will probably be distancing themselves from the responsible party.

I attended Grove City Church of the Nazarene for many years. In all my years of attending funerals, none were sadder than this one! I was devastated and I did not even know this family very well; Just Billi as an acquaintance in the GCN Choir! One thing that struck me really odd in this whole situation was the countenance of Mr. Romans. He was just so upbeat and praising the Lord. I did not understand why he was not showing any signs of devastation at the funeral! It just made me wonder, that is all I am saying!

In cases like this Sheriff isn't lloking at strangers or friends you can bet on that, I would say though if anyone at GC Nazarene knows anything they should call Madison County Sheriff
even if it is just rumor or speculation about.
1.) Divorce
2.) Affairs
3.) Money Problems
Just three common areas that would lead to such a disgusting act. To kill a spouse is one thing but to intentinally kill two young kids is disgusting and something the church members may be able to help solve. Some may have felt pity and sadness for a survivor but now it's time to feel anger and do something in the memory of the family.
Please help if you heard anything.

I do know the family and I was at the Funreal and have seen Pete since the fire and although I am not a Dr I would say he was in shock at the funreal and was surrounded by people who were trying to keep him upbeat in a very tragic situation. Friends and Family spoke and recounted many happy memories, there was even some moments we could chuckle...I have seen no evidence that he is happy they are dead, benefited monetarily, nor does he have a female companion, he lost his wife, kids, home (which was rented so ins coverage could hardly be that much) he lost his life and as far I see gained nothing...I just cannot wrap my head around what he would gain or have benefited from the family dying!!!

Yes, my question is are you the state fire marshall? If the answer is no, you should stop playing one. I knew the entire family and I am disgusted at the mere implication that the father is guilty. The story contains some incorrect statements. The truth will come out!

What incorrect statements does the story contain? Sounds as if there is some information and evidence that only the investigators are privy to. I'm sure the investigators would not be making such strong statements if they could not back then up.

OSUALUMNI67 - for one, the SUV was his wifes and not his. The SUV had a full tank of gas and the husband was afraid that it was going to explode. It is extremely unfair for you to assume that every detail is true. I have had first hand conversations with the gentleman involved and for you to find him guilty without due process is outrageous.

Wow! Everyone is so quick to point fingers! I would hate to have you on my jury. Everyone grieves differently...it doesn't make them murders. I'm sure the father wishes he could take their place everyday. I can't imagine losing my entire family, living with survivors guilt and then being accused of being responsible for it. Shame on anyone accusing him. By the way, their house was burglarized weeks before the fire and one of the intruders was bitten by the family dog. Maybe it was a revenge thing.

Please don't so be quick to judge, a man lost his family and yes the famiy home was broken into months before....God,Billi, Ami and Caleb know the truth!

Mr.Romans, a good family man who not only worshiped God, but his wife, son and daughter. A husband, coach and father. I pray who ever killed my friends will be caught.

Why can't (couldn't) they rule out the husband after all this time?

They can't rule him out because they can't rule anyone in. I'm not sure how they could actually rule him out rather he's guilty or innocent. How would you do that?

Anyway, to me the thing that always stuck out like a sore thumb was that the husband told a story of getting up and going out to a fire that was already out of control. He ran to the neighbors for help assuming his family was out.

BUT, he blamed the SUV right away. Now if you run into a garage that is an out of control fire how on earth would you know where it started from that? But he threw that story out there right away.

Either he came on a tiny fire that somehow got out of control while he watched or tried to put it out, or he was just covering his tracks. Either way you have to throw some suspicion on the father since his on top of all the other fishy parts of the story, his version of the story makes no sense.

They figured out this much. Odds are they have a good idea who did it. That doesn't mean it was him! We'll find out soon enough I'm sure.

What about someone paying off the right pelope to say it was arson. I dont think that ford would like to have to pay a big law suit so a payoff is not so hard to belive?

Fabricating evidence in what is now a triple homicide could lead a person to do a whole lot of jail time!

I can't imagine somebody being willing to take that risk to save Ford some money rather than just say "nah this wasn't the cause, not sure what was". Big difference.
