Dr.Briere is wonderful. I really didn't care much for Moghe or Barton, they both saw Me when Doc. Briere was unavailable. I think You will be very happy with him. He truly cares about You and what is going on with You. He goes above and beyond in Your prenatal care. I was very high risk. He's just awesome.

I agree...NOT BARTON!
He is NOT a good doctor! Man has no clue what he's doing. They should get rid of him. I don't understand why they haven't.
As far as the other doctors go, I've heard mostly good things about Briere.
I won't go back to them because of Barton.

I don't care much for Barton either. I went to him with my last pregnancy and I don't recommend him. He just seemed to me like he was always in a hurry. He was always on his phone. Always in a rush. He seemed like a nice enough man, he just wasn't a good doctor.
When it came time to have my baby. I had a c-section, just like my first pregnancy, so I knew what to expect.(I had a different doc with first pregnancy, Dr. Eddie Perkins -- loved him, he was great. Hated hearing about what happened to him)
Anyway, when I had my second c-section with Barton, I had a spinal block (same as my first c-section). The aesthetician had to wait on Barton to give it to me, because Barton was out in the hallway on his phone (rolling eyes) He finally got tired of waiting and went ahead and gave me the shot in the back and then poked his head out the door to let Barton know.
Barton came in a few minutes later and was getting ready to do the c-section and I told him then that I could still feel my legs and move my toes.(I've had a spinal block once before so I knew it hadn't fully kicked in yet.) Barton said that everything was okay, he promised me I wasn't going to feel a thing and went to cutting.
Well I didn't feel the cutting, but I definitely felt something!!

It felt like he was taking my belly and peeling it straight upwards and trying to pull it up over my breasts! NOT A JOKE! OH MY GOD! IT started hurting soooooo bad! I HAD NEVER FELT PAIN LIKE THAT BEFORE IN MY LIFE!!!! And I don't ever want to feel it again! I started crying and hollaring at him to stop. The asthetician finally came over and gave me something to knock me out! I don't remember a thing after that!
My husbands swears I laid there and snored after that!

After this I thought it was just a fluke thing! That it was just a case of doctor and asthetician not timing it out right. Dr. Barton blamed it on the asthetician, of course, when I mentioned it to him later.

That was a few years ago and since then I've talked to two other women that have gone through pretty much the same thing with him. They said that he hurt them in the same way and they also had to be knocked out! One of the women was actually considering a lawsuit! I don't know if she went ahead with it or not!

I definitely DON'T recommend him to any woman who is expecting. I don't know if the man just gets in to big a rush to get things done or if he is one of those types that gets his jollies hurting women or what. I just know he's not a good doctor. At least he wasn't for me and I'll never go back to him again.

Dr Barton was my doctor also during pregnancy. He seemed ok at first. After the things I've heard about him I'm very thankful he wasn't the one on call when I had my baby. I didn't go through the things with him I've heard mentioned here, but I don't want to repeat what it was. That was 6 years ago and I never went back again because of him. I never had a problem with any of the other doctors there though.

You guys are crazy!!! Barton is the best they got. I started going to him when he first started and they were located under the old Marymount hospital. He had to remove my ovary and a tumor that had turned cancerous. It was bigger than a basketball once it had turned to cancer. Honey I was 20 years old when this happened and me and my family were all terrified out of our minds but he was SO GOOD TO ME. He was the kindest most compassionate doctor I have ever had. And my scar is hardly noticeable. I moved away a few years and had to see a doctor in the city and he couldn't hold a light to Barton!!! Then I got pregnant after I returned to Lomdon and of course it was a complicated pregnancy considering what I had gone thru and Barton wash doc once again. I felt like I got the absolute best care that is out there. I had to have a c-section and again my scar is hardly noticeable.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I assure u he was an excellent doctor for me. During my pregnancy I was in that office twice a week while they monitored my babys stress and he was there for me everytime.

I love him and so does my family and I would recommend him to anyone

Barton delivered My 13 yr.old when he was born. Doc Briere was out of State due to an emergency. Barton had "been there all day" delivering babies and insisted I needed a pitacin drip. My water had already broken and I wasn't far from delivery and he insisted it wasn't soon enough so I ended up with the pit drip although I insisted I didn't need it. My Son literally came flying out and didn't get the 'squeeze' on his body that most babies get during a normal delivery. His first breath created a bubble on his lung, his second breath popped it. My Son was brought to Me looking bluish in color and breathing fast like a puppy breathes and I was "assured" this was normal. I called Dr. Moynahan (My pediatrician) and told him what My Son was doing. He came in and checked on My Son and had him taken immediately to U.K. Medical Center. Then he came to see Me. My Son was in Lexington over a week. Dr. Briere was very angry over the whole thing. I don't trust Barton at all. But Dr. Briere I do with My life. He saw Me with My next Son also and I would go back to him if I were to ever decide to have another.(Not likely to have anymore though) lol..

You sure you don't have Barton confused with Mechas there Kentucky's Finest Green...

Barton started at London Women's Care about 6 or 7 years ago.
He took over for Eddie Perkins after he got hurt. Perkins was my obgyn and he delivered my son. I thought he was great!
Which is also why I ended up with Barton. Barton took over all of Perkins patients. After a couple of visits with Barton I asked to be switched to Briere. They wouldn't switch me, said he had too many patients already! Same with Mechas. So, I got stuck with Barton.
AFter going through that painful c-section and then hearing other women tell me they went through it to, I wish now I'd switched to another place all together.

He's a large built man with a mustache, Was with Doc. Briere there 13 years ago, I may be confused on the name, yes because I hadn't seen him that much. And it has been a while so maybe. I do know he's a jerk. So yeah I may have the name mixed up .

I may have the name confused. The Doctor I'm talking about was one of Doctor Briere's Associates there at that time. He's a husky man, with a brusque attitude. I didn't see him but once other than when he delivered My son. It has been 13 years so yeah I'm probably messed up on the name. I apologize for that. I do remember that he golfs, he had a game scheduled the next morning and wanted My delivery over so he could go home.

Don't sound like anyone I recognize from there. I only started going to them in 2001, when I was pregnant with my first. I don't remember anyone that fits that description.
At this time they were located in the brick building on the corner, just down the hill from the hospital (the old hospital now).
There were Perkins, Mechas and Briere. Perkins is tall, slender, young, with brown hair and had a very nice nature about him. Mechas is about 5' 8" or 5' 10" with brown hair and not that big built and of course you probably know Briere!
The big, mustache guy just don't ring any bells! LOL

My husband told me that the guy I described is the one that rolled me in at the time I went into labor and he said that after I was given the pit drip I really am not coherent about anything that happened but the pain I was in at the time. He said he only remembers who it was because he was upset with him for putting Me on the pit. And he says he's having Me checked for Alzheimer now =(.. ohhh I'm so sorry for doing that. He's standing over My shoulder making sure I apologize profusely and making jokes about My memory.

Again I apologize for thinking it was Barton =(( I feel so awful for that =(
