Why don't someone have a booth selling chicken wings somewhere at the festival, instead of the same ol stale Little Caesar's pizza, and gyro's, and funnel cakes?
why

They do sell chicken wings at one of the booths...I just forgot which one. I think it was one of those Women's Auxiliary booths.

because us "younger" folks realize that change is good.... and spending money on the entertainment guess what... attracts MORE PEOPLE... meaning MORE MONEY... jeez people are stupid.. this conservative ass town needs to get bent..

I hate people that get on here and try to correct errors when their's are just as bad. SPELLINGPOLICE, look over your own post and count the mistakes and then take a walk with your spell checker. I counted 4 in one sentence. We all make mistakes, stay on the subject at hand, Please.

I'm tired of the Chicken Festival. It's not nearly as good as it used to be. GIVE US BACK OUR CITY. WE'RE TIRED OF HAVING TO GO OUT OF OUR WAY WHEN WE NEED TO GO ACROSS TOWN!!!!!! This sooooo needs to be moved somewhere besides in the middle of a federal highway.
why

well.. at this point its just a time where most people only get out of their houses just once a year to go downtown and spend money and get fat... pointless and stupid.. until they get some actual GOOD entertainment... thats all it will be..

The Chicken Festival is a lot of work.
The City/County relies on business owners to donate and sponsor events. At the events they sponsor they must also provide the work force. This gets very expensive. The community doesn't appear to appreaciate it nor do they give back to the business.(spending money with them)
The individuals that are the ones "wanting more" need to get their own group together, book the bands, find ways to pay for it, and research this with their time and effort. If everyone volunteered his/her time, effort, and money this could be a great success.

does the chicken festival really hurt anyone? i mean, the only business that have to shut down are lawyers and such. they can do without for a couple of days. As far as the traffic situation, it takes me no longer to get across town during chicken fest than it does any other time

I totally agree with this. My best friend has a business in town and he likes the break. If you do not like the fest stay at home. I love to listen to the Christian music when they have it there but its fun to go up there and sit around.
