Let Mr. Durham have the job--I think if we have but one super Mr. Young, then we only need one athletics adir. one person can look over all the schools need and not listen to abunch of coaches lieing and hoarding all the equipment. Vote for Durham -- he is the only man who really wants this job
Simply because he WANTS the job doesn't mean that he would be GOOD AT the job...

Whoa... Keith Morgan and Dusty Carloftis are exceptional men.
I think that Keith Morgan would be a good choice. He is involved in several sports both high school and college, and I think he deserves a shot at this position.

Exactly! Just because he had his badge taken away from law enforcement, doesn't mean roll out the red carpet for this AD position. Been said on here earlier, ask the NL baseball parents about his position as AD out there this pass year, left a lot to be desired! They made a trip to central office over his lack of merit as AD at NL -explained on here earlier. Lots of experienced individuals out there that are better qualified than this individual for that position, if they think they really have to have this position, which I don't!

One of the requirements for the job is to have a principalship, so you can mark all those who don't off the list. Don't all AD have their principalship? LOL Can we figure out who the job was created for now?

There are several people who have their Principalship who are not Principals. In fact I know several people who have their Principalship that do not use it, because they do NOT want the headache that goes along with it, but want the salary. If that is for sure the case that you have to have your principalship to be an AD - which I sure don't think is the case. I had never heard that before anyway. I do know our past AD's were never Principals.

There are several people that are better for the job than Jimmy Durham. All he has done is ride coattails to the positions that he has had. He wasn't much of a teacher. He surely was not thought highly of as a principal. And from what I am hearing from people at North Laurel, he wasn't much of an Athletic Director. I am just hoping that this political or good-old-boy mentality, that has been the backbone of this county will not win this time. Give it to someone who not only can do an outstanding job, but also deserves the chance.

Keep hoping...as long as the King of the Good 'Ol Boys in running the show, I don't see things changing a whole hell of a lot anytime soon.

As for the other post about having to have your principalship....someone pointed out that lots of people have that and don't use it. They are right. I am a classroom teacher. I have had my principal certification for years...you couldn't give me the job (at least not in this county!). I know many teachers, coaches, counselors, etc, who also have this but choose not to pursue that paticular position.....

I am for Jimmy Durham all the way!!!! YOU GO JIMMY! A lot of people don't like him because he got rid of some teachers that were messing around with young girls--he didn't care who he made mad-he did what he thought was right which will always cause you some enemies,(especially in this town) If NL baseball parents weren't happy with him as the AD, how in the world have they tolerated that McWhorter guy who dresses like a coach, shows up at games like a coach, calls himself a coach but ain't even close to a coach? Tell me.

Shows just how ignorant you are. Durham did not even know what was going on under his very nose, and he was not the one that got the teachers out. This was a bad situation for all concerned, but giving praise to Durham is just stupid. Funny how nobody has defended Durham when I made the "riding coattails to where he is now comment". Durham is a joke and everybody knows it. He has been spoon feed everything that he has received. But I will give him credit for sucking the right tit.

In the rough, you talk pretty big to hide behind a screen name - tell us who you are and I'm sure Durham would like to speak with you about which tit he's sucking. By your support of Keith Morgan, we can learn a lot about you posting falsehoods about a man who has worked as a deputy in this town for a long time, I believe won a couple of state championships in this county as a coach, ran summer school a few years - my nephew graduated from one program, been a principal and now A.D. Print some facts, by supporting Morgan you are behind a man that has factually engaged in gross misconduct with students while he was a teacher. Enough said.

Might want to check your facts on what Father contacted what Softball Coach and told them to leave their daughter alone & to quit calling her on the telephone - before you go throwing around gross misconduct claims against someone!
