Sorry but because you "athiests" can not click on my links as proof that I give to you, I cannot click on yours. Let's be fair in the discussion. If I am not aloud to use internet links to other things because someone else besides me done what needed to be done to make the link have its information besides me, then how is it fair that you can use links? So, I will not click on any of your links. Besides, you hold a strong grudge against something that is not suppose to be real, you might actually try to hurt those who do believe he is real and do not hold a grudge. I don't want your viruses.

If you see Christianity as being a "personality" type, what would be the point in fighting against a "personality" type? There is no point in it if you truly see religion in this way.
the focus is on the flesh/form jesus. the flesh counts for the nothing, the Spirit is everything. the image/personality is the focus of christianity.

<quoted text>My husband, who is an athiest like you all claim to be, has described what you are doing as fighting with someone who has a mental disorder such as schizophrenia while they are not being medicated.
i'm not an atheist however i do agree with aspects of their thought process on the subject matter.
HaHa wrote:
<quoted text>Trying to tell them their dillusions are not real. You wouldn't spend your life fighting against that person. You would just move on because their would be no point in it. You can't make them believe you. There is just down right no point in fighting something you think does not exist so much.
if it can be presented in a reasonable and common sense matter, a person would be more considerate of the idea.
HaHa wrote:
<quoted text>I don't believe that people who are claiming to be abducted by aliens and probed are telling the truth but you don't see me out there question the butt out of them and fighting against what they believe to be real. It's just not logical. I thought you were supposed to be logical people?
i believe in negative thought complexes not of this planet that would use lesser beings to their advantage. if it's possible here, then it's possible else where.

with the recent god particle discovery, it's know that other universes exist that interpenetrate our own.

in some circles you have heard them referred to as the 7 heavens.

"Since you are going to fight against something that you say doesn't even exist...."

No, the problem is that many people who believe nonsense meddle in our lives and even commit murder because they believe that they have divine permission. Gods are not real, but god-believers are always meddling somewhere.
HaHa wrote:

Since you are going to fight against something that you say doesn't even exist maybe you should try fighting against it with something other than evilness and just being flat out mean.
I will never understand fighting against something that does not exist. There is no explanation for it, except that you don't really believe it does not exist. If you truly believe that God does not exist, you would laugh it off and move on. That is clearly something you are incapable of doing.

You are meddling right back too. You are complaining of the very thing you and the other "athiests" on this thread are doing. You are virtually complaining about yourself. I don't blame you though, I would complain about myself too if I were you.

I cannot call you athiests because that is not what you are. I don't know what you are but it sure aint athiest. So when I refer to you as such I have to put quotation marks.

Nope. I am resisting religious superstition and all the offenses that go with it. If theists would keep their delusions private, you would never hear from me. I don't criticize believers in pink unicorns because, to my knowledge, there are no unicorn cultists openly opposing contraception or setting car bombs.

Well said, Anti-Theist. There is probably someone out there who believes pink unicorns are real, I'm sure, but at least he's not coming up to me in the parking lot of Kroger, as I'm trying to load up my groceries in the summer heat, just to tell me the "unicorn god told him to talk to me."

That actually happened. Here, in London, in the parking lot of Kroger on the north side of town. I was loading my groceries, when some guy got out of his car. He looked at me. Instead of heading toward the store, he came toward me, with his hand in his pocket.

I thought, "Oh, man, this guy is either gonna ask me for a cigarette or tell me about Jesus." I would have preferred he bummed a smoke.

He said hello, then pulled out his hand. Opening that hand, he revealed a handful of smooth, red glass beads, pretty large ones. He asked me, "Do you know what this is?"

I said, "Dude, it's a glass rock, and it's hot out here, so if you're gonna talk to me about your religious beliefs, I'll save you some time. My ice cream's gonna melt anyway." I closed the trunk.

As I was getting in the car, I could hear him trying to explain to me something about blood and the "son of god," blah blah blah. He was rambling. I started the car and took off.

He just kinda stood there, rubbing his red beads, as I drove off.

Why can't people just keep their opinions to themselves in a freaking public setting? I don't go up to strangers, telling people to believe what I believe.

I really don't car what other people believe, as long as they don't push it on me or use it as a justification of doing something stupid, evil, or crazy. Sadly, historically speaking especially, religion has been used as that justification WAY too many times.

"at least he's not coming up to me in the parking lot of Kroger, as I'm trying to load up my groceries in the summer heat, just to tell me the "unicorn god told him to talk to me." Yeah, they creep me out.

"I was loading my groceries, when some guy got out of his car. He looked at me. Instead of heading toward the store, he came toward me, with his hand in his pocket." Very inappropriate and dangerous. People who do that should be prepared for a verbal or physical thrashing.

Since I am a god, could you tell me how to re-activate my magical powers? I would love to be able to teleport, or fly, or even make a cup of coffee magically materialize on my desk.

You must be a weak God with hardly any energy. Poor you.
