No problems whatsoever. You must live out in the boondocks and using speaker wire off an 8 track for cable. Call the service and tell them you want it fixed. Why bitch about it on here ?

Thats one problem with Cable Internet, the more people on line the slower it is. DSL does not have that issue. I have both and our office is in town on cable and it is slow about all the time thru the day. My home is Windstream DSL and it is always ssame speed, which is no slower than Cable when the cable is at it's fastest. These people that claim they have Windstream issues must live on old lines or something, I never have a problem with it and have never been kicked off in 8 years I've been online. I don't know how you would get kicked off line anyway because your computer is online all the time unless you shut down your modem. People like to blame the connection when it is really there computer. Delete temp. internet files and get rid of the residual waste left behind by surfing and the computer will run faster.

Mine use to do that....I had a bad modem (black box). Also, do you have a filter on your phone line? or all your phone lines? that will cause interference. I have had so many problems with windstream I could be a technician for them. You need a new box and a filter (if you dont have those on your lines). I called windstream tonight and they said that there was an outage in London.

I love windstream. I've got 12mb connection and I run 1 PC, 2 laptops, and and IPod Touch simultaneously. It is always fast. No issues at all.

I also had problems with the internet last night. I was in the middle of playing a game and it just froze up and when I went to try to get back on the internet, it would not let me. I tried for a couple of hours and gave up and went to bed. It is working this morning but is acting very sluggish.

ours was messing up last night too, it kept kicking me off and we had to reboot the modem about 7 times, finally we called them and they said that everything looked fine and we were connected and to call right back as soon as it happened again so they could see why, i just ended up watching a movie, and it seems to be working fine this morning.
my laptop is fast so i know its not my computer that is the problem it was def the crappy internet
so you weren't the only one :)

He wasn't bitching, "Clueless Internet User." He was simply inquiring if it was an isolated problem with his location or if it was a widespread issue.

And back on topic, I live downtown London, and my Time Warner cable has gone to basically a non-working state the last two nights in a row right around 11pm. I don't know what's going on, but I'm calling them this evening.

My internet has been going bonkers for about 3 weeks now, about twice a day it goes offline from anywhere between 5 minutes to 7 hours (roughly). I'm suppose to have the highest connection in this area and it's still pretty slow.
Tired of all the problems.. First electric company sucks ya dry now the phone is screwed.. Will there be no end to the mess?
