Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is demanding that government spending cuts be made to pay for an extension to the federal unemployment insurance program, which expires on Dec. 31, 2012, reports the Associated Press.

Without the extension, about two million people will lose their unemployment insurance. On top of that, another million will see their benefits run out after January 2013.

However, Sen. McConnell has not required the Bush tax cuts, which benefit the very wealthy, to be offset by any government spending cuts.

Amazing how the Congress of NO never wants to give anything on their side as if the Bush taxcuts wasn't one of the biggest entitlement programs in history....for the wealthy. Mitch prefers millionaires keep a few more million versus families being able to feed their children. What a man. What a heart. But I guess that's why Mitch will never get the Man of the Year Award. Do they give one for "lame duck"?

Old Man....who knows. It'll all work out. It always does. Compromising routine is expected and the beat goes on. We will survive this one as well as the last. I think Boehner, Mitch & Co. simply are very insecure people and need alot of attention..that's all.

Really11 Bush and cheney should both be in prison for treason and you want to applaud those theiving bastards?
Why on earth would any working taxpaying American want the super rich to not pay their fair share of taxes? Dont come back with the lie that taxing the rich will put American jobs at risk. Thats a total lie and has been proven to be just that. A lie that has been shoved down working Americas throat. Kinda like the lie about Hemp and Marijuana.
All so the rich can get richer and the working man struggles to feed his family and pay his bills.
Im tired of the lies coming from politicians just so they can make their bank accounts swell to overflowing. Its time for change in America. Its time for new blood in the senate and congress.
IM all for it.

Another Brain washed Lowlife Communist. This is America the land of the FREE and a place where people are supposed to be EQUAL. Free to make as much money as you want to put out the effort to make, not a place where you work to give to the Freeloaders. This the country where EVERYONE has the shot to become Rich. Lowlifes like you need to be sent off somewhere to starve to death. If you choose to squander you life, thats your F()ucking problem, Lowlife Scum.

The American public will blame them for fiscal failure --> they will lose seats in both the house and senate next election

Obama will have a "grand" final two years in office

Once more a conservative shows his anti-social personality disorder. The majority of people never have a shot at getting rich. People are born with varying abilities and this has a lot to do with how much money an individual makes. Then there is "luck" added to the mix. The idea that everyone has a shot at becoming rich is a myth.
In order to maintain a equal rights, you have to maintain a balance. This is something, of which, the anti-social personality disorder party has no concept. If your brain can't allow you the ability to maintain a balanced outlook then you shouldn't be voting. You are destroying democracy. The very thing you CLAIM to support.

And the GOP cause, to give to the rich and enslave the poor. I can hear those slave chains ringing as the wealthy conservative politicians forge their corporotacracy. Ahhh...THE BONDS OR SLAVERY ARE ALREADY SNUGGLY FASTENED AROUND THE CONSERVATIVE VOTERS NECKS. Their love of money an irresistible lure into slavery.

oBAMA added 6 trillion to our national debt,Where is all that money going?

When he was running for President, oBAMA condemned Bush for adding $4 trillion to the national debt in eight years, calling it “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic.” Now—in less than four years—oBAMA’s Administration has already added almost $6 trillion to the debt. That means he is on track to triple Bush’s debt increase over eight years.

I can tell you this. The Conservative Party is totally behind putting pressure on this Congress of NO. Everyone knows it. Everyone I've talked to says "it's those damn conservatives". You know, the party that paid their leader $8M for a going away present, then tell us "where are the jobs" ? You know who I'm talking about.

I read today where the majority of Americans are totally on Obama's wagon and if the Congress of NO doesn't pop, they better kiss the next election adios for sure. They'll cave. Mark my word. Compromising is in order and we won't go over the cliff. We simply will not.

Obama will have his remaining 4 yrs. and our next Democrat will have the following 8. Those little whimps haven't swallowed who they are dealing with yet. They scr-w up everything they touch.
