I USED TO GO TO CORNITH..I MOVED OUT OF TOWN. I LIKE BLAYLOCK.I ALWAYS THOUGHT HE WAS A GOOD MAN..CANNOT SAY THAT ABOUT SOME OF THE DEACONS..MY MOTHER WAS ONE OF THE BEST CHRISTIAN WOMEN EVER..WHEN SHE GOT SICK,ALL THE PREACHERS CAME VERY OFTEN TO VISIT HER..WHEN SHE WAS UNABLE TO WRITE THEM A CHECK..GUESS WHAT..THEIR VISITS STOP.I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT CORINTH CHURCH,IT WAS ANOTHER CHURCH..AT THAT TIME, I STARTED TO CONNECT PREACHES AND MONEY.SAD STORY ,BUT TRUE..MY MOTHER IS IN HEAVEN,NOT SURE ABOUT SOME OF THE PREACHERS..JUDGE NOT..YOU SAY..I SAY, PREACHERS LIKE THIS GIVE RELIGION A BAD NAME.I HAVE TO AGREE.STANDING IN A GARAGE DOES NOT MAKE YOU A CAR..

Sorry, but you missed my point. Just because someone never misses a church meeting doesn't mean they are superior to those who can't or sometimes just don't attend. This world is full of "Sunday only" christians.

Well The truth is one of the deacons was putting pressure on Bro Blalock to resighn becuause he would try to put a pianist out that was suspected to be gay. Lord bless their heart . We have several gay members in our church.

I am a member at Corinth and I'm sure not aware of your false statements. Brother Jim Blaylock is one of the best men I know. You people need to pray for our church and please don't make false accusations on topix.

from what I've heard over the years, your church has a history of running off gay musicians.

Corinth has not had ANY changes in musicians for over twelve years since the Slinkers (husband and wife) both played the piano and organ. They left to care for Sherry's mother and work in a church in Lexington. Keith Reynolds and his wife of nearly 38 years left due to failing health after several years of missionary work in South America and are working with a church in Pikeville near their family. Our current musician, his wife and three (3) daughters are wonderfully active at Corinth and are a blessing to us. I have been attending Corinth for over 16 years We need your prayers. We STAND on God's word, his word is preached EXACTLY as God instructed it to be written in its ENTIRETY. The pastors are very caring and loving toward all the members and visitors. No one at the church should ever be offended unless they desire to hear the word of God ALTERED to reflect individual desires not those
GOD instructs. SO PLEASE PRAY that our church never sways to listen to those trying to change our church and God's word. PRAY people for all churches to PREACH firmly on GOD's word in its entirety and pray as we do before, during and after our church service. Rise up church and be prepared when the bride groom comes.

yes, you have. I know of two personally that were "encouraged" to leave due to their sexual orientation. you'd better do your research.

Somerset, I don't know who in a leadership position was asked to leave. I truly gave the names of the choir and music leaders who have left in the past 16 years. But suppose your statement is true. Then are you saying GOD is wrong? Have you ever read Romans 2:1 verses 21-32. Wow, does God view this as an abomination to our CREATOR, our GOD, the one who willingly stretched out his arms, died upon an old rugged cross and rose again for our salvation. Are we as a church believing fully in God's word not in compliance if we feel that immoral sexual orientation as you stated is wrong? Is killing an unborn child wrong? Is murder wrong? Is adultery wrong? Is using the Lord's name in vain wrong? What are you talking about? When do we have the right to ignore God's word and change it to fit our lifestyle or personal belief?
Research is over. Facts and standing on God's word
without omitting any of it is true. So if your false allegation was true which it isn't who is right? If you know of two that were encouraged to leave for failing to live by God's word pray for them that their souls will truly be saved and not perished in the lake of fire. Don't condemn a church for practicing and adhering to God's word and don't condemn those whose faith and poor choices are subjecting their souls to eternal condemnation. PRAY PRAY PRAY for all. Believe in
God's word in its ENTIRETY.

Hats off to Bro. Blaylock...Get the filth out of there, if they're not going to Repent, and be Born Again.
They can make all the excuses they want for their action and life-styles, but it is clearly in the Bible that God does not uphold such a 'way of life'! Don't blame me...it's the Word of God.
Another thing, it's probably 'One of Them', that has started this hurtful thread.

The filth that needs to be got out of that church is some of deacons and laymembers.

I too have been a member for nearly 20 years and I have never heard, voted on nor have any knowledge of anyone asked to leave a position at the church for sexual orientation or immorality. It is shameful for someone to make false accusations. But I do agree with FACTS that it is important for Corinth and all churches to adhere, preach, teach and believe one hundred percent in the BIBLE, and every word of God. We can not permit our poor lifestyle choices to change God's word. Also I agree Romans 2:26-27 sexual immorality is not acceptable before God. I pray for those who believe that their personal choices will not place them before the judgment seat and perhaps condemn them to eternity with the evil one who has deceived them so much. God help those whose lifestyle and choices have caused them to be blinded to your word, whose has been mislead and desire for your house to conform to their lifestyle and accept their sin as permissive help them to once again see your word without the evil one deceiving them further and save them condemnation. God Bless them, those who gossip and those quickly to judge. Amen!

I agree, my church like Corinth believes in strict compliance with God's word. To be born again, to be saved we must be believers in God's holy word. Alternative lifestyles that go against God's word is
not indicative of someone saved. It is immoral for men to be with men and women with women. I truly believe the teachings Paul in Romans chapter 2 and unless your desire is to live an alternative lifestyle ignoring God's word you should too. May God bless those lost or misguided. Remember the evil one comes to steal and mislead you. He wants your soul. Romans 10:10 talks about salvation, Hebrews 10:26 talks about willfully sinning after we receive knowledge of the truth (knowing God, Hebrews 1:3 (Upholding his glory "God's), 2 Timothy 2:22 (Fleeing from youthful lusts), 1 Tim 6:11 (righteousness), Ephesians 5:5:3-5 (fornication, and uncleanness). You see dear soul
by God's grace, by his mercy we are saved and become a child of the most high God, joint heirs to the Kingdom of God. Don't be misguided, FOLLOW JESUS AND LIVE.
