Just wondering

I have seen that they settled for almost 12 million. There are about 4000 woman in the case. Will they just split up the money between everyone or will some get more. Also does all the money go towards the woman or is there a lot taken out for administration fees.

When I talked to the attorney's office, they told me only 1500 hundred or so decided to be represented out of 4500. I'm on of those involved in the lawsuit. I thought they had to back up and pay wages from the date you applied so therefore different people are going to get different amounts. I know I put my application in back in 1999.
do you know

iluvmyminer, you are a sorry piece of junk. Why don't you go work in the mines with ur hubby, bc its not a womens job. Haven't u watched that movie with charlize theron? Bet o hubby didn't want u to go there. If you want a job at walmart go to the store. Can you lift cases for 10 hours while mainting production. On the average a man takes care of there family. They need the job more than a women in most parts. I say hire them and give them juice trips all day that way they would quit.

My Friend said that the women can do the job better then a lot of the men can, 50% of the men don't work long before they quit because they are so lazy, The women will work harder, He said that it's pretty bad when women out work some of the guys! But it is true maybe they will be a lot better off when they hire more women!

I have worked many hard jobs with plenty of lifting. On average I would say I worked circles around 80% of all the guys I worked with. Everywhere I worked my bosses always told me they would take me back anytime. They even gave me letters of recomendation.

So woman can work harder than men. It's all about how hard you are willing to work. I am not saying all men are lazy. I have worked with some that could work a lot faster than me but most of then just got by with the least they could do.

When I applied at Walmart DC I had been doing heavy lifting on my previous job and had a lot of experience on any kind of equiptment. I had a lot of muscle built up and lifting all day really didn't phase me. I will admit when I started my job before that it was really hard until I got conditioned.

So when I applied there I told them I was already lifting all day and could already drive equiptment. Plus my previous boss highly recomended me. They told they don't hire woman. I could have done the job. But was told they didn't hire woman. They should have keep their mouth shut and just not hire me. Why say they don't hire woman.

Let's just say a man was best qualifed for a good paying office job. Had recomindations and lots of experience. Was looking forward to getting a good paying job and have someone tell him we don't hire men. So now he has so settle with a job that pays half as much. Even thoug he could have done the job better quilified than most of the woman. That would be unfair.

Woman need good jobs as much as a man does. I know several single moms with dead beat dads. Both of them support themselves and their kids by themselves. They deserve a good paying job over there worthless husbands.

I will admit that a mans body is built better for heavy labor. I know that most men are stronger than me. Though in my day I beat a many at arm wrestling. But it dosen't mean a woman can't do a hard job they just have to work a little harder for it. And a lot of woman are willing to do so. I know I have proved at the jobs I worked that I outworked most men. Believe me a woman can do that job. And telling someone they won't hire you because of gender is wrong if you are highly quilifed. Walmart knew better than to say those things. They should have kept their mouth shut and try to hire the woman that were quilified.

My husband worked at the D.C. and everyday when he came home is face was red and he was worn out. If a man that is in pretty good shape, 30 years old, and strong gets that tired after a day of pulling groceries I'd like to see a woman try it because I know I would never be able to do it. Its just stupid. The turnover rate at the D.C will be HUGE because they will hire any woman off the street and when they find out how hard of a job it is they will QUIT. This isn't just picking and lifting boxes. This is picking and lifting up HEAVY boxes in 100 degree heat in the summer or if you're working in the freezer its below zero. My husband came home with massive headaches because the freezer was so cold. Also, I don't know who would even want to work out there. The management is UNFAIR. Everyone is jealous if you are a good worker and they try to get you fired because of it. The next lawsuit will be sexual harrassment and unfair treatment. MARK MY WORDS.

It's a hard physical job. The majority of women can't do it. It's just a fact. I've worked in TWO Walmart DCs, orderfilled, loaded and in QA. I've seen a few women orderfillers but only a few. But in this day and age, I think they ought to hire them all, it'll all sort itself out when they start pulling IFCOs full of carrots, 80lb cases of meat or cases of baked beans or flour or sugar.
