If Romney Ryan have their way the middle class will dry up and blow away. I ask you earlier what you think about the Romney Ryan proposal to eliminate capital gains?
I don't like it, but I don't think it will ever get through congress. But the tax load and healthcare load off business will create jobs and economic growth more anyone realizes.

a Chinook helicopter went down in Afghanistan in Apr 2011 and 21 navy seals were killed(americas finest) very tragic. One of the seals left his recently 22yr old wife and a son.
His wife will now get a check of $1800 from the government for the rest of her life.
Money from tax payers, you talk about over spending

A soldier gets killed in combat, leaving a widow and child and you think $1,800.00 a month is excessive. Typical republican. She will not be retired, you can't raise a child on that amount. Sure its ok, what you have her do. She and her child have lost his income.

If Romney Ryan are elected and the republicans get control of congress, it will pass and the richest Americans will pay no taxes. We will also have privatized Social Security and Medicare. Ryan was interviewed by Brit Hume on Fox and he refused to discuss their tax plan. Ryan said it would be disclosed later, like after the election.
I truly believe this pair would finish destroying middle class America.

How do you know he would have been gainfully employed through out his life?

These are called survivor benefits; which makes no sense given the wife is probably not disabled.

So if his wife lives another 40yrs she will be eligible for $864,000 in survivor benefits.

So why not also give every immediate relative the same lost income?

Why not give a mother the lost income of her son? or a father the lost income of his daughter? or if no mother and father a brother the lost income of his brother?

The voucher system and setting up insurance exchanges will drive down healthcare costs. The way it will happen is the insurance co, that does the best job at controlling costs will get the most business. That means they won't do business with the pill doctors, they will put more pressure on Dr.s to keep people healthy, cut out unnecessary tests, and hook everyone on pills, and make better use of technology. It won't happen overnight but it will happen. Look at the tech industry prices keep going down and quality goes up. The tech industry is the nearest thing out there to a pure free market. Healthcare can never be that way but it can be improved. We pay more than twice per capita for healthcare as any other country out there that has to change.

If we get the gorilla off businesses back there will be immediate benefits to the economy. Corporations are sitting on a ton of money right now, but they're just like the rest of us they don't know what to do until our politicians agree on something. Lots of the manufacturing jobs that left haven't worked out as well as they thought if not for the 2nd highest corporate tax rate in the world (soon to be the first), they'd be glad to start bringing those jobs back home. I don't think there is anyway they'll get away with doing away with the capital gains tax. But in case they do lets get the economy fixed and then put the Democrats back in congress in 2 years.

It would take $1,800.00 a month to raise the child and if she remarries and the child is an adult the benefits are cut off.

actually they aren't. The child can still receive the benefits even if the wife doesn't because it's survivor benefits paid to spouses and children.

But why not to mothers? fathers? siblings?

they want to raise the retirement age so people will die before they can retire , it's a shame that someone would want old people to work after age 62 or 65 , how can they enjoy the little bit of the rest of their lifes ...People work the biggest part of their life and never get to draw ss long anyways before their planted in the ground .heck at age 65 u only have 15 years untill you are age 80 , there sure arent many people live that long anymore.
