Same here, They make me sick. Mine went up 3 monSths ago 50.00 . Then another 80.00 in Jan. So expect another raise in 3 more months. We need to complain to sombody , but who? We need laws to regulate insurance. Lets boycott 'em.

I had two vehicles and a home with KFB up till October.Been with KFB with a homeowners policy since 1991.Also had vehicle insurance with them for about the last 10 or so years.I canceled and went with another company and saved $890 a year.KFB had raised my homeowners insurance almost 40 percent the last two years for no reason.I suggest they cut down on their dang advertising since they have at least one agent in every county sometimes more.Ever notice how many times they advertise on those UK ballgames? It is a lot.I went with a company that I see a commercial about once a week if that. Its a national company and the agent is in Lexington. I am sure if you watch tv you occasionally see a commercial. The company is the one that states "every day all over thousands of people choose to do the right thing." At least their slogan is something similar to that.

Well there's something to be said about regulations I guess. While people think everything in California is high, I found out otherwise. Don't get me wrong, gas at $3.34 right now is usually higher and food is too, but auto insurance and car tags are cheap. I pay full coverage on two cars (one newer lux, one older convertible) and liability for an old truck and old RV and only pay $1,200 a year. I used to pay $900 20 yrs ago for a little compact in Ky, and tags were just as bad.

We The People are the united States of America, the home of the brave, So, for the children and all children that follow, act like it, ban together - get involved stay involved and never ever let any lowly official of the giant corporations force you otherwise.
We can bring the system to a grinding halt, we can crash the stock market, we can tell the perpetrators of the system that we've had enough. Sadly democracy isn't practiced with votes anymore, it's practiced with dollars. Every dollar you take away from the corporate interests is a vote for freedom. One step at a time.

It was over a $1,000 last year.

The biggest impact you will ever have with an insurance company in ky is to serve up the proof of cheaper better insurance coverage other states have to your congressman and senators and demand the same for kentuckians. They are the ones with the power to change it.

Sounds like everyone's insurance is going up with Farm Bureau. If anyone finds a decent deal, please post it. Mine will be coming due in a month or two.

When Mine went up I called and ask why , they said policy changes.
Well when I called 3 months earlier they said the exact same thing.
Liars, heres a number of their reasons.

1. You're single.
2. you have teenagers in the house.
3. You drive to far to work.
4. You live in a high risk county.

Why don't they just flat out say: Your insurance is what it is because you can't do a da*n thing about it . Stop the lies.

I had insurance with KFB for 19 years (home & auto) I had just went along with the constant rate hikes, until I checked on adding a new car to my insurance, & they gave me a price on friday & I went back on monday & the price was $102 higher than on friday, ask why & they said rates had increased, so that got me checking around & I got a price from state farm for almost $900 less on total with home & autos (with more coverage) a year, that was a year ago & it has not went up,
+ no $25 membership fee (what a rip), you just have to move around, if state farm starts the increases every 6 months like KFB, I'll change again

I'm with KFB too and my ins is high, but every time I check around I can't find a better rate. I'd gladly go somewhere cheaper if I could find someplace.

Give Liberty Mutual a call.I left KFB for them and saved almost $900 a year on two vehicles and a home. One vehicle was fully insured, the other only had liability on it.It looks like the best solution to all this is is to shop around. They spend a fortune on advertising and probably have as many or more agents in Ky than any other company since there are agents in all Ky counties. Why do they need to spend so much advertising on tv during UK ballgames? You know those spots demand a premium price during those events.I say send them a message by going somewhere else. Also that $25 membership fee is a crock.
