Go to corbin to Dr. Hourigan, he is the best hands down, he moved here from lexington, central baptist and used to do high risk deliveries so he knows his stuff and is very good at what he does.

Dr. Barton delivered my baby and he is the nicest man ever. I had Dr. Mechas during the pregnancy, very nice but not very personal with me. Maggie Zoellers handled my pregnancy toward the end and she is great. All of the doctors at London Women's Care are a good choice though.

The best dr by far is DR. James Hourigan in Corbin.. When you have as many problems as me you really apprieciate a dr that knows his stuff.. He takes his time with you to make sure everything is covered and you know exactly what to expect each visit..He is ALWAYS the person to see you, unless he is on vacation.. He doesnt pawn his patients off on a Nurse practitioner..I LOVED him...

I MUST disagree that Dr. Hourigan is by far the best doctor! If you are a patient that has no complications then I guess you would be safe seeing him, otherwise you best reconsider. He has become very careless with his care and dismisses ALOT of symptoms. As far as the comment that he doesn't pawn his patients off on a Nurse Practitioner, I must dispute that as well. During my six months of pregnancy, I would schedule myself with Dr. Hourigan and end up seeing Lori or Jenny a great deal of the time. During my 20 week ultrasound I was informed that Dr. Hourigan was scheduled 94 patients that day and that I probaly wouldn't get to see him then either. 94 PATIENTS!! Does anyone else see something wrong with that? By the way, I ended up seeing Lori again that visit as well. A few days before I went in to pre-term labor I went to see Dr. Hourigan complaining of lower back pain and bleeding. He never even attempted to look at my cervix or to do a cervical length, instead he told me to sleep with a pillow between my legs! I know that sometimes things cannot be helped but he could have at least looked in to it. His lack of interest is the reason my son was born at 26 weeks and was transported to UK where he lived for only 18 days. I don't want to place all blame on Dr. Hourigan because sometimes pre-term labor just happens, but I believe with all my heart, if he had just took the time to look in to my complaints, he may have found a break down of the cervix and may could have done something to prevent the pre-term labor. When a doctor is scheduled 94 patients in one day he is over worked, over booked, and fails to present the type of care that we as patients deserve...that our unborn babies deserve! If you are looking for a doctor who will come in, set down, stare at his laptop, spend 5 minutes on average with you, and sometimes throw you off on his Nurse Practitioner, then Dr. Hourigan is the man for you! If you will have no complications and need no further examination, then by all means go see Dr. Hourigan. That is a HUGE chance to take though don't ya think? Really weigh your options.

Definitely not, I layed in the ER on Christmas night one week after I delivered my son with a bp of 200/130 while he was on vacation. If it hadn't have been for the ER Dr. who knows what would have happend to me. I ended up with Nitro on my chest and a heart monitor. Dr. Hourigan was called and never called back! I've been to Mechas ever since....
