For crying out loud the child is still dead and the mother should be held accountable for what she had done. Accident or not she is still responsible for her child. What kind of mother would forget about her child in a vehicle anyways?????????? As a mother I would never leave a child in the for any reason, not for a minute.

Hmm, are you saying that "forgetting" children in cars is okay? That everyone that leaves a child in a car to die should just be excused from punishment and it should be accepted that as long as you state you "forgot" you can kill children in cars? Would you think that it is ok for someone to put their kid in the basement and let them starve to death, as long as they say, "Oh Shuckies duckies! I forgot!"
No one is claiming perfection. I have left my cell phone on the table. I have left my coffee in the car. I have left my jacket at work. I have never forgot my child anywhere at all for even the slightest moment. My child PRIORITY. And people with sane minds do not leave their children in cars to die.
This woman had not problem remembering to get her keys, purse, cell phone, check her doors to be sure they were locked. She had no trouble remembering to attend a birthday party and eat cake. I bet she did not even forget her breaks that day. But you defend her for killing her grandchild because she "forgot."
You know, that God that you people keep speaking about? Start begging him to life the burden of ignorance from your body, mind and soul. Start praying for him to place any kind of brain at all between your ears. Pray that he does not send his hand down on you and show you what a moron that you are. And NEVER waste a single prayer of yours that I won't leave a child in a car to die. Because I will never leave a child in a car to die like Madison Nose had to die.
I just wonder, have any of you Linda Lovers bothered to say MADISON NOSE out loud?

i couldnt imagine what their last few minutes are like..
when I was around 12, I guess, a friend of mine thought she was being smart and pushed me into the deepest part of the community pool (we were sitting on a wide ledge between the 4 ft and the 10 ft). I couldn't swim, and I could hear the people above me laughing and having a wonderful time. It seemed to me, when I was in the shallow pool, the lifeguard was calling us out every 10 mins or so, to check the bottom. That's what I kept thinking was going to happen at any minute, while I was under that water...waiting...thinking I was dreaming...all kinds of stuff. My friends sister was the one who rescued me. She said her sister was too scared to tell the lifeguards what she had done...and the group didn't know I couldn't swim.

I imagine that baby kept waiting for grandma to come back and get him. He trusted her. I have an ocean of tears in my eyes right now, just thinking about what he must have gone thru.:(

Or pure stupidity, either way, someone thats that stupid should be put somewhere they can't hurt themselves or others.he's probably the type who if a smoke alarm went off during the night,he'd take the batteries out roll over and go back to sleep.all these inventions are assuming the person wants to remember, but what if they don't.besides they'd forget to turn it on.

We are apparently living in a world that regards babies as garbage.

I have tried to put myself in her shoes and if I ever "forgot" a child may hell rain down upon me. I would take every foul word said to me in silence I would gladly go to jail for the rest of my living days. They could do nothing to me that would be punishment enough. I would not ask for prayers or forgivness as I could not forgive myself or raise my eyes to my Lord without waiting for him to strike me down. I would forever burn in my own hell and think that not enough punishment. This HAS got to stop happening...DO YOU ALL GET THIS!!!!! IT HAS HAPPENED ONCE TO MANY TIMES!!!!!
MY thoughts and feelings exactly.too many people on here feel like the man did after he had killed his father and mother, then when it was time to go to court,he looked at the judge and said[with a straight face]have mercy on me your honor for i am an orphan.

It was just down right cruel neglect on her part.
Every summer people are warned not to do this with children and pets, yet she chose to leave that child in a hot car.
To leave a child in a hot car is murder !!! There is no excuse for what she done.

Here's the thing. This wasn't some ditzy uneducated scatterbrained teenager, who left her kid in the car for 8 hours because "she forgot".
This is a grown woman, a grandmother, one with a regular job and an active person in our society who "forgot". This is the person directly responsible for the death of an innocent two year old baby.
Now she wants to play the "pity" card. We should all feel bad for her because she will carry the guilt the rest of her life. That's justice - hard justice. Was her day worth it to her? How about morning break, did she not stop think about her precious grandchild? Lunch? How about then? Afternoon break. Nothing? When did she realize what she had done? After HER day was over?
And what about that precious baby, whose very existence depends on people like her. She let the baby down.
She should be eaten up with guilt. The question is "What is she going to do about it?" If she can do something in this society to make up for what she did on behalf of the thousands of children in danger due to neglect, then maybe she can live with herself and people, like myself, just might soften in our judgment. However, if she intends to play the "pity" card and walk away without any consequence - count me out.
ME too,but we don't really know how she feels.all these people on here taking up for her may be making her sick.we just don't know.but she can only be helt accountible for her own deeds,it's not her fault for the actions of these people.they have to answer for that themselves.

I'm not gigga, but with all due respect, please allow me to respond, just the same:

No, we don't know Zachary Madison as well as you might...or his family. However, I dare to say that YOU don't know them either, as well as they know themselves. If we all KNEW our family, neighbors, co-workers, fellow worshipers, etc, we could stop the spousal abuse/child abuse and all other senseless death, if we chose to get involved.

And another thing, perhaps just as important as that, the last time there was a child who was left in the car and died, WHAT was YOUr reaction to that? I doubt you kept silent, minding your own business.

Such mature name calling by an illiterate redneck. And just to let you know, I have never stated that I do not know the family. And personally, I do not care what the family is going *THROUGH* because that ignorant piece of nothingness that left her grandchild to die a horrible death all by himself is still walking her ugly ass around trashing up the earth. You are in support of a baby killer. So, you really could be no better than the garbage that she is.
And you know what really is bothersome about all the Linda *Baby Killer* Long Lovers, is that if this had been an 18 year old black mother of a 6 month old infant that was busting ass at McDonald's to feed herself and her child that done the same damn thing, you bunch of self righteous Bible Beating rednecks would be ready to have her hung at the Town Square.
I know that this Linda Long thing has admitted that she was the one that left the child to die. That makes her a baby killer.
And as for stupid, Sidney, I don't think I have to point your ignorance and stupidity our to anyone. The fact that you can't spell, can't make a simple complete thought sentence, and can only call names does that for you.
Due eye git et, Sidknee?
You can sit there on your ass and defend this woman all you would like, but just as it was when the sun went down yesterday, it will be when the sun rises tomorrow, Linda Long killed her grandchild in a manner that is horrific and beyond the realm of understanding. And as bad as it seems, she is the bitch that he was most likely crying for in his last breaths. That poor poor boy was most likely begging for his heartless grandmother to come back to him while in all reality she was the one that placed him there to die.
