Oh that makes so much sense that no good employees are left there. I can see how a multinational company would send a bunch of new business to a site after they got rid of all the good employees. I'm so glad you enlightened us on this awesome business dynamic.

Let me tell you something, there are PLENTY of people there that are good employees AND don't kiss butt. If you disagree, maybe you should come up there around 5pm and talk to a few people in the parking lot. I'm certain there are a few good employees that would want to discuss this further with you.

Holy run on sentence Batman!

So you're saying anyone that was fired there was fired without cause? Sounds to me like you worked there, half assed it, and got fired for either not showing up to work, or for your eloquent grammer skills and are bitter because you didn't chap enough butts to stay...

Get real. In this age of lawsuits for anything, if HSBC fired people for no cause there would be lawsuits like crazy. If someone goes in there, works hard, shows up for work on time, and listens to their manager and tries, they will be fine.

All your gloom and doom stories do is make someone who might to great there and their their degree through the tuition reimbursement (like me) be scared to apply. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean it's a bad place.

You are dead wrong on this one. KY is a no fire state which means that an employer CAN fire you without cause.

hsbc used to be a good place to work, but theyve made so many changes its nothing to brag about. they used to have a lot of giveaways and prizes and incentives and good people that made you want to come to work, but they cut out incentive to hardly anything, cut out anything extra and began treating employees like they were in elementary school... needless to say alot of people quit after that.

Not sure why bashing HSBC is such a good thing but this that is just my opinion.
I work there now, have worked there for 6 years, never kissed anyone's ass, worked my ass off, started out at $9.50 an hour and now at $14 plus bonus.
For those who hate it so bad, quit. Very simple.
If you think you can go somewhere else to "give" you things because HSBC quit doingso, let us all know where that company is and we'll probably join you.
As far as the new director, most people don't like him because he's honest and doesn't put up with bullcrap. Some people there have a hard time with honesty and don't know what to do with someone who will call them out on their BS. Also, he probably cut back on a lot of things because how can you justify the company "as a whole" not just in London, KY but I know there are many people that struggle with thinking on a global level (not meant as an insult to anyone but we don't have many international companies in this area)....how can you justify the company laying off people but yet the folks in London, KY are still getting all kinds of prizes, trips, etc.
Jobs are what we make of it. HSBC management has a few things they could probably work on but again, give me a place that has close to 400 people under one roof that is a perfect place to work with no issues and that never changes anything.
Again, not meaning any harm to anyone but seriously, if you hate it so badly, go somewhere else.
I guess they can take whatever incentive they want...I'm just happy I still have a job.

the majority of it has nothing to do with the incentive that was lost, it has mostly to do with treating employees like they're in elementary school. i had never worked any other job where they had to call roll 5 minutes after a shift starts, explain yourself if you have to get up out of your seat for 5 minutes to go to the bathroom, etc.
