It's hard to salt the roads with all the people wrecking and in ditches. The roads become blocked and the salt trucks can't get through.

The salt won't work while it is raining. It just dissolves the salt freezes right back. They are doing all they can.

True.Several times I have seen road conditions become extremely hazardous due to people wrecking and getting stuck which results in the blocking of the roads.Salt trucks with plows are unable to get through due to these type situations. No one should be out unless its an emergency situation right now.Salt, once applied, needs time to work.Remember those crews out there working are in danger as well. They have to be extremely cautious and move slower especially on rural country curvy and hilly roads. They have to drive slower and more cautiously in case they come over a hill and/or around a curve and come up on someone already in trouble.

LOOK. They are out there risking their lives to clear the roads. That is pathetic to judge the way they work. I see it like this,If you can do better go out and do it. I hate when people pass judgement on a job they could never do themselves.

Rain would have just washed any salt away if put down before it started. The tv just said roads south of Lexington were described as a solid sheet of ice.No need to be out unless its am emergency.

Unless it's an emergency stay home. Where do you need to go that bad? Yes, they did pretreat last night. Also, this has been talked about for several days so you should have been prepared.

Dear God, I hope you aren't really a road guy! I would say help was more than needed a couple of hours ago! I feel for the salters and plow guys. No matter where they go somebody thinks they should be elsewhere. I am just gonna sit tight and stay home. There is nothing as important as being alive.

amen to that some of these people just want to bitch about something they know nothing about, let them get out there and do your job, then they will change the attitude. More of us think you all are doing all you can do. keep the fine work going guys .

Stfu, your probably one of those deadbeats that was hoping for this so you didn't have to get your kids out of the bed this morning for school. You asked for it so live with it. Good job road crew! Thanks for all you do.

thank you ever so much, most people don't appreciate the hard job that we do. it not easy working for the public. it is very stressful job sitting in a truck or van with some other man that smokes and smells like a wet ashtray, so to all you people that think our job is so easy, try hiding for eight hours.
