Read and learn something Jenny.I bet you have never heard of this program by the NRA.They have been educating children in firearm safety since 1988.Everyone always wants to bash the NRA but at least they have been making an effort for years and all the libs and antis are doing is b!tching about the violence and trying to take rights away. The shooting yesterday at a middle school in Georgia left a fourteen year old student shot in the head. Luckily he's alive.
Like in Alabama where an armed man this week killed a school bus driver and kidnapped a random child from the bus Georgia is a big gun state, in Georgia even 'no guns permitted' signs on private businesses have no legal power and are ignored. Both states are also bible-belt states.
The student who was the shooter was captured by a police officer which was a school resource officer. Does having a police officer assigned to a school, stop all shootings? It does not in cases such as this, they happen too fast and unexpectedly (although I do fully believe schools need trained resource officers).
What it shows is there is a huge problem with 'guns'.
Meaning the ease in which even kids and teens can come to have one in their hands and kill someone, commit robbery, or whatever else is in their minds.
There's too much violence. Too much killing. This cannot be allowed to continue.
