My son had a car accident a few years ago and it really messed up his back, they say he may even have fibromyalgia, (arthritis of the muscles) he is in constant pain. The doctor he goes to had been prescribing pain meds, until he lost the ability too. Now he has refered my son to the pain clinic. The reason I'm trying to find a new doctor is because my son don't have any insurance and there's no way he can afford to go to the pain clinic.

I'm not sure where she received her medical degree, but she does operate a small clinic out of her BARN. Apparently she is able to dispense schedule 2 narcotics and medicinal reefer without following DEA guidlines as long as the patiients are 'cousins'. You may want to check your family tree before scheduling an appointment, but I'm sure she'd be more than happy to adopt your son so he can get treatment.

Oh sure! people in need ALWAYS post on topix to see where they can get pain med's prescribed without having to see a doctor!

All she has to do is call social services, if her son is under 18 he qualifies for medicade and he can see a doctor. If he is in THAT much pain, she can take him to a publically funded hospital, they can't turn him away for 'inability to pay', if he is bad enough that he must be admitted the hospital employs staff that helps people fill out the necessary paperwork to apply for assistance or funding for treatment.

Also, when doctors REFUSE to prescribe medications - especially schedule 2 med's, it's because they believe that the person asking for the medications is addicted, they are using 'pain' as an excuse to get more medicine. Go to any ER and you'll see all the 'people in pain' begging for their oxy, percocet, loricet, vicadin, hydrocodone.

well, does he have a job if over 18? He either needs to pay cash for the doctor office visit fee or go to ER. They will see him there.Just because he dont have insurance dont mean he shouldnt be paying for his doctor.or his pill

It's obvious that the mother is soliciting for drugs on this forum. No respectable doctor is going to prescribe medications like that without the patient coming in and being examined. The doctor could lose their license for that! I bet ALL docotrs dream of spending 6 to 8 years in school, 100's of thousands of dollars in tuition and time and money building a reputation and practice just so they can lose it all because they gave out happy pills to gold bricking dope fiends.

I know what you are talking about, lots of drs.get their license to write narcs.pulled by precribing to many or to the wrong people.the law makes them make their patients have exrays, mris or some other proof in black and white for them to give them out.if you cannot prove you are in pain, they assume you are lying to get the meds for your addiction or to sell,so the laws have made it nearly impossable for the doctors to write them.it is not their fault.go to the emerg.room of hosp.tell them you have no insurance, fill out the forms for free help, get the tests to prove the pain, take them with you or him,to any doc.besides e.b.m.c.and they will precribe them, they'll also give you a cheaper rate than if you had insurance.good luck.

You know what? I come across this forum and ask a very honest question. I don't need any crap from you or anyone else. What do you want me to do show you the results of his x-rays and mri's, because I have them and they show most of the disc's are messed up. So don't be so quick to judge what you know nothing about. Just go lay down somewhere.

He is over 18 and works making minimum wage, can't afford a $600+ visit to a pain clinic. That's why I'm trying to find a DOCTOR!!!!! for him to GO TO...

Yes I know, well he has had all the tests and they show he has a lot of damage to his back. I hate so bad to see him in so much pain. I also know there is a lot of people who are just hooked on pills, and that seems to only make it harder for the people who really need help with pain to get that help. Thank you for being understanding.

I like pain meds. They make me a jolly good fellow. I think London needs more pain clinics. Does anyone here attend any of the parking lot parties at the pain clinics?

Kentucky Back Center on 5th. street. They are not big pain pill pushers but if you need them they will get them for you. You might also look into these patient assitance programs sponsored by the companies that make the medicine, most times if your income falls into their formula you can get 3 months of medicine at a time for free and then reapply, about all the drs. will help you with it if you ask.
