Obama didn’t quite say “I won, you lost” to Republicans, but he made pretty darn clear the message he believed the voting public sent last Tuesday. “The American people understood what they were getting,” Obama said at one point.—“I’ve got a mandate to help middle-class families,” he said — it was clear from his tone, his body language and his repeated references to last week’s election that he believes he does with every fiber of his being. hehe

So what you are saying is the Republican party 'are' intentionally being obstructionists and deliberately sabotaging our Government and our President. I will definitely remember that while standing in line to vote in 2014. Everyone else also remember it. Because this is why recovery from the recession has been slower than what it would be if the Republican party worked toward helping families that are hurting rather than just wanting to win elections. As one Republican plainly stated ..... "For the next two years, we can’t let you (Obama/Biden) succeed in anything. That’s our ticket to coming back." -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Republican) Obstructionism for purposes of winning elections badly hurts America. It kept the recession going.

Think about this ..... the same people that voted for President Obama last week will also be voting once again in 2014. Those people being women, latinos, all other minorities, all the other religions other than only baptists, unions, students, gays and lesbians, and all the others the Republicans have peeved of over the last two years.

"Obama; I have a mandate to help the middle-class" Too bad the Republican party doesn't have a mandate like that. All they want to do is obstruct recovery from the recession in attempts to win elections.

If Republicans spent as much time working with our President on the economy as they do worrying about wrecking a General who has served our country to the utmost, and, a black woman Obama might propose to nominate for Secretary of State and other frivalous issues in an effort to take the heat off them for doing NOTHING, we could progress. This country has been in nothing but progressive turmoil since GWB entered office. Trying to breakdown Obama (which won't happen) is not going to win their election 2016. They already tried that the previous (4) and got nowhere. They don't realize that the more they carry on with all the nonsense, the lesser likely they are to take the WH in 2016. Right now, I don't suspect that to happen and I haven't been wrong yet. Check with Republican Bobby Jendal. He's not very pleased with the Republican Party right now to say the least.

Just me wrote: <quoted text>Has obama told the truth since he has been in office Yes. Romney ..... no. At least I cannot think of anything Romney told the truth on. He even in an attempt to get blacks to vote for him told a whopper about his dad marching with Martin Luther King. His dad 'did not'. How about the total lie about the 'binders full of women' in an attempt to gain our vote? Or him saying he doesn't recall if he did that attack on that gay guy (you 'know' if you did something like that or not). Or a hundred or so other outright lies, not just twisting a story, but actual out-and-out lies.
