"Romney's going to help the upper class," said Harris, who earns $28,000 a year as activities director of a Lynchburg senior center. "He doesn't know everyday people, except maybe the person who cleans his house." She'll vote for Obama, she said: "At least he wasn't brought up filthy rich." White lower- and middle-income voters such as Harris are wild cards in this vituperative presidential campaign. With only a sliver of the electorate in play nationwide, they could be a deciding factor in two southern swing states, Virginia and North Carolina. Reuters/Ipsos polling data compiled over the past several months shows that, across the Bible Belt, 38 percent of these voters said they would be less likely to vote for a candidate who is "very wealthy" than one who isn't. hehe More about Harris -- Sheryl Harris, a voluble 52-year-old with a Virginia drawl, voted twice for George W. Bush. Raised Baptist, she is convinced -- despite all evidence to the contrary -- that President Barack Obama, a practicing Christian, is Muslim. So in this year's presidential election, will she support Mitt Romney? Not a chance. http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/09/11/us-u...

Plus I'm sure the housekeeper works harder because it's likely Annie had alot of demands.(See Romney's 2010 return Schedule H). Now I'm sure, so much like Corporate, Romney knows his housekeeper has kids and with that "small" amount of wages, will qualify for Eitc, then the govt. can pay her what he doesn't! Slap my face! What's the matter with me! I'm just the 800# gorilla in the room.

Did you specifically notice the comment where Romney, while addressing the Liberty commencement stated " People of DIFFERENT faiths like yours and mine.........."? Does this mean he and them might not worship the same God? I know he's working on his "man-God" status, so, wasn't sure?

I am from the south and I am not nearly as concerned about Romney's wealth, as I am about the lackluster way this administration is handling foreign affairs right now. People best wake up and realize we have NO leadership at this point, we have someone who is more interested in appearing on Jay Leno and campaigning in Las Vegas than they do in taking a stand for the US....all he wants to do is apologize which just brings out the beast in these individuals. You can NOT handle that part of the World by apologizing!

I want a successful president. Romney gave away his inheritance and earned what he has. Sure he had advantages. He went to Harvard. He started out as a newlywed couple in a rented apartment. He drove maybe not the finest of automobiles. Maybe he even had rust in his floorboards? obammy had nothing. Yet he went to the most expensive schools? He never held a job or employed one person that was not under government allotment. He fought hard to inflate the housing bubble playing the "race card" for blacks and minorities that never had a chance to pay. I see your point. Romney had some advantages and we should question them. obammy attended Oxy, Columbia and Harvard with no visible means of support. We should remain ignorant of his methods? Very stupid logic on your part.

Very stupid logic on your part. Does one actually need means of visible support when they get Scholarships and Student Loans? Romney did not give away his inheritance. Actually, he paid for his college with Stocks he inherited from his father. Why is Vegas casino pledging $100M to the Romney campaign? Well, let me enlighten you what Romney's tax plan will do for Mr. Adelson. Here ya go! 1. Maintaining the Bush taxcuts plus an additional 20% taxcut to the wealthy: Savings to Adelson:$1.5M/Yr. on his CEO Wages 2. Eliminating American taxes on FOREIGN PROFITS like Adelson makes on his Asian Casinos. Savings to Adelson:$1.2B/Yr. Est 3. Plan to maintain current low dividend rate: Savings to Adelson:$120M/Yr. 4. Eliminating Estate Tax: Savings to Adelson heirs:$8.9 Billion There you have it. It's always important to know the whys isn't it?
