I seriously doubt anything will come of any supposed suit. The constitution gives us the right to say whatever we wish, whenever we want unless someone threatens anothers life. Their could possibly be a civil suit for slander. Civil suits are not criminal suits and noone can go to jail.

As far as the threatening suit, you can't prove that the person who owns the computer typed it so nothing will come of it.

If a civil suit for slander goes to court, the person suing has to prove that they are out monetarially due to what someone say. Very, very hard to determine if this is the case.

So to answer your ?: Some dumb ass will try, someday I suppose, to no avail. Dream on people. This is America and we can say whatever the hell we want with a couple of exeptions.

By the By... you are a big fat dumb as s and there is nothing you can do about it.(And just to make sure your dumb as s knows you are not out anything financial because I said it (whether you think so or not) and it is without a doub not a threat.

PS... move to Cuba if you want things to be different. This is my USA!!

And if you must know, YES... I am a complete utter dick!

Generally Speaking, you are not a lawyer. If you are, you are not a very good one. Certain statements are considered libelous without regard to whether economic damages are proven. Moreover, the proof issue is a question for a jury, not an attorney wanna be.

Stick to cashing your welfare check. That is your highest and best use.

Get the right attorney and a few of these people are in for a big surprise I do believe.Freedom of speech does not mean you can slander someone just because you feel like hiding behind your computer and posting lies.
For instance the teacher thats been slandered this can hinder her future employment possibilities. Many employers search the net before they hire.If an employer put her name in Google for instance all this molesting junk would show up in a search and most likely even though its junk posting the person wouldnt hire.So when your freedom of speech crosses over to harm my well being or my future job possibilities or my wife would divorce me due to lies posted on here then its time to sue for damages.

Well look at it this way, even if the person doesnt win it will cost the gossiper time and attorney fees and that isnt cheap.I know one person thats pursuing it regardless of outcome just so the poster has to face them and possibly have to hire an attorney once they have been served.

Wouldnt it be great though to get in court and listen to the poster and come face to face with them.I am sure the teacher would have no problem proving she isnt a molester since she has never had any charge ever brought against her and she has a job working with children. The poster might be ask to show proof of what they are stating as being true and that part should get very interesting.

I would bet that 80% of this trash on this site is false and they could be sued for slander. Someone just needs to push it one time and show these trouble making pieces of trash that they can't get jealous of someone and slander their name without have to pay the price for doing so.

You're right, i'm not an attorney. I also do not cash a welfare check either.

However, if you are in fact an attorney, you would most likely not be a very good one if you beleive someone could be reprimanded either civilly or criminally by what they say on this message board.

BTW, I doubt i'd ever wanna be an attorney, on average anyway for sure, couldn't take the a pay cut.

I agree w/your post for the most part. However, just to play devil's advocate, in how could someone prove that the person who owns the computer the posts in question come from is actually the one who made the posts.

What do the rest of you think?

I don't think you have to actually prove slander false. I'm not sure though as i said earlier, im not an attorney. Won't some of you attorneys on here let us know (I know bunches are on here).

I do believe however, that since its a civil suit, that the plaintiff just has to show that there is basically a high probability that the slander occurred. Unlike in a criminal suit where the prosecutor must prove beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Again, I'm not an attorney but i'm sure the guys and gals of the bar on here can tell us. What is it?

What if you have hidden isp ip fake address and it shows you are in another country? Is it against the law to have hidden ip too?

Yes it is against the law if you use it for criminal intent. If I were a judge my first question would be "Why do you need to hide your ip address unless you plan to do something underhanded.Personally I dont see a reason to use one unless you have something to hide.

If the computer is in my home or being used on my isp account I think a court of law would likely say its your responsibility as to whom you allow on it.Once an attorney has records in hand and the isp is linked back to your account what difference does it make. Most on here arent seeking damages they just want the person exposed and rightly so if they are so low they feel the need to get on a public forum and slander for no reason except to gossip.
Personally I wouldnt seek damages but I would like the low life to be made aware I know what they are doing.Thats priceless since they have to be chicken tards to get on here and act in such a way.

I've been reading some of the things people talk about, especiall teenagers, and what they write about other people is horrible.
i've been spoken about on here and i believe a lot of what people say on here is EXTREMLY offensive.
I think that this website should be deleted.
And i think there should be a safer websites for adults to use to acutually talk about important subjects, not high school immaturity.
