"LAUREL COUNTY, Ky.- The Hostess shutdown announcement on Friday, Nov. 16 sent shock waves through the country, causing Americans to begin hoarding Ding Dongs and bemoaning their fading childhoods."

Fat laced extra sweet snack foods have been losing money for 20 years.
It's not like Healthfoods and healthy snack foods

32 long tme jobs with good wages. Let's say 20K a year? 32X20K =$640K gone for the Holidays.

Even WalMart would feel that.

Now these people can stay home for the holiday's and collect unemployment checks and not put wear and tear of their vehicles. Seems like a win win situation.

Thank you. I was hoping one libidiot would call me on those numbers. It is actually much more than 640K dollars lost from LC's economy. I meant 20K after union dues and 5K deductible insurance, strike fund and misc. LMAO

The money is gone and it is the prezdint's fault. Not sugar or fat or eating habits, just obammy.

You are welcome, but it would seem more logical to use the numbers you meant to use in the first place.

And, BTW, that is still not a great wage.

Did the Cookie Factory expansion go through? That was going to bring 80 jobs and someone at Flowers said their hours had increased since this happened.

I do believe the snack food companies should all be looking to improve the quality of their products. People are looking for healthier alternatives, well, maybe not here so much, but in other areas.

Jobs mean nothing to these Liberal Pigs. They have found a way to live off the efforts of someone else. Their way life will soon be coming to a end though, the cookie jar will soon be empty.

People on the Draw 66 Million

Federal & State Workers 20 Million

Total Supported by Tax Payers 86 Million

Private Employed 109 Million Workers Paying for all of the Above.

That was Senture and the "big gubmint contract" a week or so before the election. Weeeeeell it seemed it was one of those unicorn promises from the obammy whammy mill. Empty promise like obammy's suit.

I schooled you once on these phony numbers already. Guess I have to do it again.

People on the Draw 66 Million - Not. More like 4.5 million. You're including all the elderly seniors collecting the SS checks they've paid in to their entire working lives.

Federal & State Workers 20 Million

Private Employed 109 Million Workers

All the people above pay the same taxes. Federal and state workers pay the same in taxes as privately employed workers.

When you have to rely on faulty numbers to make a case, you've already lost.

Oh wait, you did already lose back in November! You're just still crying about it.

Ah, these Republican tears are so tasty!

No, it was the Cookie Factory:

http://www.sentinel-echo.com/x983010915/Cooki...

"November 27, 2012"
"The expansion, according to the company’s website, will add a production line to its current plant and will create 80 more jobs. The project is expected to cost $1.4 million."
