I have put this off long enough now. This man has made megabucks in his lifetime by other people. He has had several different employees. Many have been with him more than 20 years. My husband being one of them. He has sent my husband to many different states. He has never complained about it. Even if it kept him from Christmas, Birthdays, Thanksgiving, and many holidays he has missed. Then an accident happens many years ago. Where is Elmo???? Nowhere!!!! All he tells me is to call and keep him up to date. But for some reason he never answers his phone. My man has really worked for him for YEARS!!!!! They leave him sitting in a hospital. NO FAMILY around in a different state. Where is Elmo????? U tell me....... He lost everything....... Where was the call for help??? Where is Elmo?????

I use to work for Mo myself. Almost eight years. Road jobs, i probably know your husband. My father also worked for Mo and was a boss out on the road. Elmo is all buisness, that's it.

Are you serious? I don't know who the woman above is referring to, but even I know of Greer employees who have been injured on the job out of state and her description of details seems accurate to me. The family got a phone call from the hospital and after numerous attempts to contact someone within Greers management that could give more details of the accident, realized that the Greers were not concerned. They shipped the boy to another state and then left him. You can say all you want about the Greer Construction business and how they have contributed to the economy by employing all these workers and I will agree with that to some degree, but don't act like they are all caring about the employees! Unless you have been one of those employees that got injured and then treated like worthless dirt, you have no idea how fast the good ole Greers can turn their back on you!!!!

no matter who you are, when you work for the Greers...you are but a number. Sorry to say, but very true...and when your number is up...and they have no more use for you...that number is forgotten. Thats just the way it is with them. There is a payday for their actions. We all have to answer to a higher power, including the greers

I had to drive to another state and pick him up and bring him home to our hospital. I would prefer not to say my husbands name. Because he would really be upset with me. I am so upset with these people because he worked so hard for them. He wanted so much for his family. But we have now LOST it ALL!!!! We are down to a little of nothing. My man use to get bonuses from Elmo all the time. But no help for me while he was in the hospital. Not even from my husbands family. I have done it ALL on my own......

I would prefer not to say his name on Topix. But it is true. I had to drive to another state and bring him home. No help from anyone. Especially the Greers. They gave me two weeks to pick up his stuff.

If he was injured on the job, I would think Greers would have HAD to be responsible. Have you sought a lawyer?

My husband had worked for the Greers since 1980. Not far from retirement, now this year he went to work for another company because Greers has no work. And it is a shame for a family to give up so much for a company and then be tossed out like old dish water. Even at their company picnics, they never one time said thanks to the wifes and children for the sacrifies they had to make.

I hope your husband gets better and you guys get back on your feet.

You should seek justice yourself. Pursue retribution if you have been wronged because there is no reason to believe it will be rectified in any other way. Waiting for a payday that will probably never come without your intervention just promotes complacency.

There is a limited amount of time for she and her husband to pursue retribution.

I had over 15 years on the road for them. KY, WVa, Va, TN, OH, AL, FL, every where but at home. I told them to go to hell. In two weeks I got a call wanting me to come back, they got another "go straight to hell" reply.
