David Yound needs to be fired effective immediately!
We should hold our role models to high standards....he should be punished for his crime and the school board should fire him... all concerned citizens of this county should call all school board members and demand action NOW!! He only spent one hour in jail.. how pathetic!!! I'm just glad that he didn't hurt anyone or worse, kill someone! Nothing but scum, he is!

Makes one question the mentality of the board members.
Maybe the county should think twice when voting for the
board member that represents their district, after all
the board chooses the superintendent.

I thought if you were arrested for DUI you had to
stay in jail for at least 8 hours before you
could be bailed out. Wonder who the judge was that
signed for him to be released or was it Albright
county attorney(Jack Binder's/soninlaw/ex board
member/big David supported) that got him released on bond.

It's still right there, it's not going anywhere. Learn how to use the web site. Click on Options, Search Type, Released Inmates and then enter in the name.

I think our priorities are questionable in this county. We have two Athletic Directors and I really don't understand exactly what their roles are, yet our children do not have text books for all subjects. I feel certain if the parents had any input into the decision making, this would not be the case. I think we should all consider going to the school board meetings and insist this be addressed.

You can't get this county to stick together to get anything done. They won't go to board meetings, fiscal court meetings, city council meetings and stand up for anything. All the majority do are sit and complain and most of them rent, thus paying no property tax nor do they get out and vote. So you can forget the idea of getting enough people together to storm the meetings and make demands.

we all need to call our bd members and request mr young resign now. remember mr mcknight they fired him for buying beer in a county school auto in richmond were it is legal. this guy made a mistake one that if a childs parent did this and got caught the law would want to remove their child from their home so we need mr young to leave the school system now.

when you mix pain pills and booze, you get a chemical imbalance. The leader of our schools should know better. at least he didn't hit anybody else this third time. ever since they moved the central office farther from his house, he's had trouble finding his way home.

Are you saying this was his 3rd time?If so then if the law is followed he has to serve a year in jail, but as i found out if you are willing to spend so much a day on ankle braclets, they are willing to take the money and let them loose. Not me, i don't drink, but a relative.

I always liked Mr. Young. I can remember him being my principle in Sublimity Elementry. I was shocked to find out about his arrest. He's supposed to be a role model for all of our children here in Laurel Co. and all he has done now is set a bad example to them all. If he doesn't lose his job over this, our children are going to think that it is okay to go out and do what he did. It doesn't matter how nice of a guy he is, he messed up big time here and now needs to pay for what he did. He should be ashamed of himself and just resign.

I think the athletic directors should be the judges just like they did the sl boys basketball player and the nl girls basketball players
