go to Corbin or another Hospital before going to Saint Joseph London's ER especially at night. The Nurses there are rude and disrespectul to patients. I visited due to having a gall bladder attack and they were judgemental towards me stating I was just looking for drugs. I had surgery scheduled but the pain was unmanageable. The nurses are rude and mean and while I was there heard them opening making fun of another patient.

I left there after that and WILL NOT go back there again. I went to Corbin and they took care of me. The big fat triage nurse that smells is very hateful and needs to be fired. The little blonde with a body like justin bieber's needs a fist shoved down her neck! Just sayin. If you want proper treatment go where you will be taken care of by professional people with caring and compassion

I've been there and been there just in the past few weeks and was treated very nice. I had two different nurses both were sweet, I scared the second one because, I was so sick and had turned such a strange color and was so pale that night. She was very concerned and wanted to know if I had looked like that the whole time I had been there or not. She even went to the doctor and had them change my medicine when it didn't work. Everyone I came into contact with that night went well out of there why to make sure I was well taken care of and was very nice.
The only person I seen that wasn't too friendly was in X-ray that night but she wasn't rude, just not as friendly as everyone else, and I always get very sick when I get a catscan so I don't hold it against them, because I'm not that east to get along with.

I have been in St Joes london several times . The old and the new. I will not go anywhere else. I have always been treated good by everyone there. As far as bad treatment. If I am guessing Lot of people are running to the ER wanting a pill. Thats typical for Laurel co.

I went to the hospital about a week before Christmas with a problem, I was given medicine and told I would be ok in a few hours. I went back the same day after 8 hours and I had x-rays etc. and they said i think you need surgery. They come in and put a tube in my nose into my belly. I have a deformed nose cavity and I told them that. They shoved it in anyway and I was covered with blood, mucus, and other things not mentioned. I gaged for 20 hours and it was horrible, my nose felt like someone was cutting it inside and it hurt like Hell. They took me down for a colon test, when I woke up, no tube. I had no surgery. Comments please.

I took my 3 year old son there right after we moved here from Ohio, because he wouldnt stop vomiting. They didnt seeem to care too much about how he felt or what was wrong with him, they just gave him a shot in the leg, and said he would be fine. It seemed like they just wanted to get rid of him, and the shot didnt help for long. When we got home he was sick again. Turns out he just cant drink tap water here, so I wouldnt suggest going there.

Go to Corbin, they left my child sitting with a scratch to the cornea, sitting for three hours and still didn't see him. We took him to BRMC where he got terrific care.

I disagree! St. Jospeh ER has always done a great job for my family. I had one grouchy triage nurse who grouched me out for my son having a high fever. Wanted to know why I wasn't alternating tylenol and motrin every 2 hrs. Well, the reason was because I checked him throughout the night and he wasn't hot. Then all of a sudden he spiked a high fever. She made me feel like a bad mom! But besides her, everyone else treated us fantastic. I went in after a car wreck and once again was treated great.

I went to corbin and got treated like crap. I was there for over 12 hours. Felt like they didn't give a crap, I was peeing out blood clots and every time I would pee I would almost pass out. They did do crap, said I had a bladder infection turns out I really didn't.

I too have heard those night shift nurses making fun of patients when I have been there with family members. They are horrible and I know EXACTLY the triage nurse your talking about, and yes, she is one of the meanest, most hateful person alive.
There was once I was in the waiting room and a woman came running in she screamed, "wheelchair now, My mother is having a heart attack. Get me a wheelchair now" When she ran back out with the security guard, the big fat triage woman turned to a red headed nurse and said, "get me a wheelchair now." She said it in a mocking voice and you could hear them both laugh as they went back in the triage room.

Oh, by the way, I suggest filling out a complaint on their website. If you don't, nothing will ever be done to help.

I will never go back to St Joe. If you want good care go to BRMC they care and will make you feel important. They made my child feel good when she felt so bad.

You shouldn't worry. I had my baby there in May. It was awesome. I'd say my top birthing experience. The nurses are nice and accomidating. You get your own room, bathroom. Your meals are picked by you when you want them (like room service). This hospital has gone out of its way to make your stay a good one. Don't pay attention to people complaning about the ER. Everyone always complains about the ER.

Thanks, that makes me feel better. This is my first baby and I was stressing about the maternity dept. Thanks again

You have nothing to worry about St. Joseph's OB department. They are outstanding and by far one of the best departments in the whole hospital.
Hopefully, you get one of these nurses if they are still there: Causetta, Kim Diane, or Kim. They were my favorites, but I never actually had a nurse I didn't like while I was there. Congratulations! Having your first baby is so exciting!!!!

someone in HR really does need to talk to that triage nurse about her hygiene. I know exactly who you are talking about and I nearly vomitted while she got my information. That's definitely more than day old body odor. RIDICULOUS coming from a healthcare professional.

I've never noticed a smell come from her, but she is mean and condescending and anytime I have went in the ER and she was triage or a relative, she ALWAYS acts like you shouldn't be there, like you are wasting her time or you are an addict and she treated me this way the night I had a blocked artery! And her little side kick, this little short, fat, nurse that is a real manly woman, stands and does nothing but give dirty looks. I don't ever recall seeing her do any work.

Now the rest of the new hospital is WONDERFUL. Especially 4th floor med/surg. Wonderful nurses up there.
