LOL....Well, obey the laws and you won't have to go there and experience that now will you? I think for most criminals, they don't deserve no better anyhow.

True but think if it were your brother, sister, son, daughter, or parent, you might just feel a little different.

probably not snoope.you see people that feel this way think it can never happen to them, their loved ones will never do wrong and even if they did the'd jst turn their back on them.what they don't get is the fact that no matter how good they are they are only one sworn lie away from jail.it happens to more than anyone knows.

I know it can happen to any of my family. I say if they are stupid enough to break the laws and get themselves thrown in jail then deal with whatever when you get there.

Wow some people are really stupid. You really made your point "time2getreal".
You never know what is going to happen in your life or your families lives. Sometimes young people get mixed up with the wrong crowd and end up jail. Yes jail is where they may need to be but it doesn't need to be filthy. For example LCDC is so rampid with staff right now it is crazy. Now one should have to be around that.

My son was in the worse jail in the area, it was eventually shut down. I'm talking about the Whitley Co. jail at Williamsburg. We went to visit him and it was over 100 degrees in the visiting area and smelled terrible, he said it was worse in the cells. 8 guys to a cell with 4 sleeping on the floor. He was lucky in that his group would alter who got to sleep in a bed. It was the worst 90 days of his life and he never went back. It definitely broke him from going back so I'm thankful he didn't stay in a hotel environment because he would have ended up right back in there. So a nasty jail is a deterent to crime. I realize people get arrested for things they didn't do but very seldom do these type people stay in more then 24 hours. If you break the law I'm sorry but you should have thought about how nasty a bunch of drunk, dope addict inmates maybe.

nasty drunks and dope addicts are different than just a nasty environment, we are talking about diseases, i know we should be punished for breaking the law, but they are still human and someones kids, we would do anything to protect our family, so think about what you say before you write it down

Let me tell you something about jail. Just because your in there, doesn't actually mean you committed a crime. I've been in there twice and I didn't do anything either time. To be put in jail, all you have to have is some dumbass go get a warrent and they will arrest you regardless if you did anything or not. The justice system is a joke.

out in the west the jailer of a very crowded jail, put up large tent and kept prisoners out in the heat and weather. the town was so outraged they had him in court in no time. he told them all unless they had George Bush sitting beside him to be on trial for PUTTING OUR SOLDIERS IN THE SAME KIND OF PLACE. IF IT'S OK FOR OUR BOYS ITS SURE GOOD ENOUGH THEM........

what you think of that?

I did think before I wrote. Did you not read that I was talking about my own son. Where do you think the nastiness and disease comes from ? A bunch of nasty people. The inmates should be made to keep their cells clean. Not piss, shit and puke in the floors and then smear it around. I didn't pay his way out of jail either he needed to learn a lesson and he did. Parents want to baby their children to much and give in to their ever whim. And to the last post How long did you stay in jail those two times you did nothing wrong ?

I was only in there overnight, but still the fact of the matter is, if I couldn't have been bailed out, I would have been in there for 6 months. That is how long it took for me to clear my name. I cost me $1500 and alot of my time. All you have to have is $20 and a story and you can have anyone put in jail with no proof whatsoever. Even the cops will tell you 80% of warrents are made up crap.

This is so true!!! My husbands physco grandmother got a warrant on me just out of pure spite because noone in the faily will speak to her anymore.(long story). She made up a lot of crap and had me put in jail for something I did not do. I hadn't been to her house in over a year. I was put in jail for 8 days until I could get bond. Then everything was finally dropped. My point being there is no sense in a jail being filthy and over crowded. They do make the inmatesd clean but when there are 20 people to a say 8 person cell you can only imagine how filthy it can be. It was completly disgusted and scared to catch something. I tried my best to keep everything clean around me. It is also pretty bad when you have to take a shower with the lights off because of how disgusting the floor is. At least we had flip flops. but still!!!!
