FYI did you know that if you have a child in school. You can get this little thing called a crime check and confidentiality training and be able to go in and help out at the schools to know what goes on. I know most schools could use some volunteers! I would love to but unfortunately I must work as do most people. However most people who complain probably sit at home all day watching tv instead of trying to help. I feel sorry for our educators! I agree all of the staff at the schools need a raise, then again who around here couldn't use a raise! I have choose my career path as they did. Sometimes life isn't fair! Some people will work because they love their job and to help. Some people are in for the 2 to 3 months off. And some people are laughing at us working stiffs while they wait on their deposit each month that we more than likely support. I would almost say that more than 50% of the people who draw are not at the age of 62 and are more than capable of working. One might think that these people should have to go to schools and help out. Well I know everyone wouldn't be able to help teach but they could do something to help out.

Teacher's don't need a raise! Most of them are there for a paycheck and their summer breaks. They don't care about our children. They do what they need to do to get by. The aides do the most work.

Surely they won't raise taxes again after the election. Don't think they could get any higher here

Bud Stuber is one of a few who actually show,up and support our kids a sporting events, he will get my vote because he cares about our schools and isn't biased like who is running against him. I am from South and hope he wins.

Is it legal for someone to be on site based at two different schools? One being where their child is on a waiver. How is it considered a hardship when that same person is there everday to pick the child up from the school. Also, their business is practically acroos the road from the school they're supposed to be going to in the first place. Only in Laurel County would this be OK!!!! Oh yeah, their parent is a board member. DUHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Surely nothing like that is going on in laurel co but then again there might not be any rules about it. Everything needs to be done fair and with best intentions for all

I wonder what next will be done for a board members Grandchild..... lets see the track got refinished i wonder what else they do... i know it needed to be refinished but... Hired somebody for superintendent that had no experience when we had someone that got "supposedly" second place for the job that lived on Laurel County. Lets see hire someone out of county when we had someone that lives in the county with the same experience. I really like the new superintendent but it still makes no since to me. Make excuses that we can get not give people raises by the largest employer in the county, which is the Laurel County school system, because we do not have the money which is not true.... see there is a thing called the general fund and they say we can't use certain money because it is only used for building and etc.....which is true to a certain extent because some of the money if it is not used will go into the general fund so why not have a little less money in it... what does it matter! I like all of the people on the board but somebody on the board needs to tell certain people when they say ee can't do this or that needs to say YES WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS AND IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT THEN WE WILL HAVE MORR MONEY IN THE SALARY FUND OR.... just saying what us right is right!

Well I don't know what all goes on but I have heard alot of rumors around town but at the end of the day they are the ones held responsible. The thing that gets me the most is employees And their families need a raise every now and then and the property taxes were raise and taxes were already high would just like to know what all the money is used for if the employyes are not seeing any of it? We do understand that not everyone voted to raise taxes just like to know where the extra is going?

While you are checking on legalities, see if you can be a convicted felon and be on site base.

They are not worried about it they know everyone will vote for them no matter what they do. If it was not for the presidential election I would say not many would even come out and vote because only five people running for the three open seats for a small time race. Lots of negative things going on in our school system this year. It has to get better :)

If you are trying to convince me to vote for a certain school board candidate don't lie to do it. School taxes did not go up in Laurel Co. I'm not saying some of the ones in there need to be re elected but the taxes didn't go up.
