Joe's term isn't up until 2014, but I've already heard a few names that may be running in his district in 14. Rumor has it that Jack Binder, Keith Clontz, and some lady will try to unseat Joe in 2014.

Just Remember when you go vote, these 4 or 5 people raised everyone's taxes.

One current board member is running unopposed too. Everyone will complain too, when their taxes are raised again because of the new land they just bought.

Ed Jones is running unopposed, can't believe he's been on the board since 1992. Two maybe three terms at the most, any more than that shouldn't be allowed. Should be a term limit.

If the school board raised property taxes does anyone know who voted for and who voted against the increase? It was a pretty big increase in property taxes

Does anyone else feel a term limit should be in place for the Laurel County School Board?

Don't think a term limit will help any, just less qualified people will want the job. But if people would get off the computer and go vote, then the current school board members would be pressured in making sure they are doing a good job.

School board is not a paid office like other elected positions in the county so you can't get many people to run.

I figured Lola wouldn't run again since her daughter was outed and no longer does the backpack club.

I feel term limits is a great idea...12 years max, which would be 3 terms.
