Had a friend rent a booth. He lost a leather UK jacket. An expensive piece of electronics that he had 200 on, was sold for 2.00. If they paid you 100 per month to be there, you might break even?

Last time I checked it was 150.00/month (or something pretty close) and at the end of the month you would either have to pay the difference of what you sold and the 150.00 or receive a check for what you cleared over 150.00.
Thats right

Alot that is sold in the vendor's mall is junk that probably just sit there so I'm not seeing how it would be worth 150.00 a month to keep a booth.

The vendors mall is going down the drain. It was a great place a couple years ago, but now it is just a dump. I have tried both places in London and neither are doing very well. Too many flea mkts., yard sales and auctions. Have you tried ebay?

The flea markets have the traffic. Picking the right item(s) to sell determines success.

Isn't the Sweet Hollow flea market an outdoors flea market? I'd prefer something inside the London or Corbin Flea Market.

Actually it's $125.00 unless you get a double booth and then it's double that....That's the price at the Vendor's Mall on Main Street. I don't know what it is at the Trader's Outlet on E.80. I think thay are a little higher, the last time I checked.

I'm a vendor there. Actually I've been doing pretty well. It's like every business, you have good months and some that are not as good. But to make it work, you really have to work it. You have to keep it stocked and you have to keep it clean, which is not easy with some of the customers you have to follow behind.

You need to check it at least every other day. The customers take things out of boxes and leave stuff out, they take things off hangers and leaave you things laying on the floor or tables, and they are bad about leaving your things in other booths.....So you have to keep up after it all. Sometimes you will think you've had something stolen, then days later it will show back up in your booth or you'll find it in someone else's booth.

Just treat it like you would treat your own store if you had one. You have to take care of it....But one thing for sure, you won't find any place to open a real store for $125 a month.
Not too bad

You're right, the summer weather slows things down just a bit for the Vendor's Mall because of Yard Sales and outdoor flea markets. But almost every booth is taken right now and they have a lot on a waiting list.

I'm not doing too bad there right now. It has busy times and slower times. A couple months around Christmas is good and around the time people are getting income tax refunds back is super good. Usually any holiday weekend does pretty well, and believe it or not a rainy weekend does good....You just have to really work it though. You can't just fill it full of stuff and never go back around. There's quite a bit of work to it if you do it right.

The Traders Outlet on E80 is cheaper to rent a booth than at Vendors Mall in London and Corbin. I have booths at all three places. Things do get stolen, so take it into consideration before renting booths. I think there is more theft at the Vendors Malls.

Try Setting up at Turtle Creek Flea Market and see if you don't do better. 1 Table is $75.00 per month and each table after that is half price. Tables start out at $5 a day. The longer you rent the cheeper it gets.

There is no comparison of the vendor's mall and trader's outlet. They are as different as night and day. Outlet has better eloquent junk.

As a vendor there, I have never had one single problem with the owner. Printouts are provided 3 days a week and checks are always ready on the same day every month as promised. The printout with your check shows what you've sold, so if you keep your own inventory list to check it by and you compare your list to their list, I don't see how they can rip you off. Maybe there's something I'm not aware of.
