Liquor Mart opened today in Corbin. It is a nice store with a great selection. They will do really well. The place was absolutely packed tonight.

I am going to shop there tomorrow. London sucks so bad, I am glad I live close to Corbin even though I live in London I do my business there, gas is cheaper too.

We now buy both gas and groceries in Corbin. Can't say groceries are cheaper, but gas is and the beer is cold. Save a bunch on gas every week.

Its strange how little I knew about Corbin until it started selling alcohol. Since sales began my wife and I are in Corbin weekly. We have found several good restaurants and shops.

You are proud that you ran a Dairy Queen out of Corbin and put a Liquor Mart in it's place? God help the children.

Yeah, it is as bad as it sounds, proud one.

i have always shopped in corbin and you save 20 to 35 cents a gallon on gas i always take a few empty jugs and get extra gas while i am there .i never could understand why gas is always so much cheaper there than it is in london and being so close . Usually the 2nd corbin exit is cheaper on gas that the first one
but not always , sometimes about the same .

No one "ran a Dairy Queen out of Corbin" they simply moved to a new location and that building has been vacant for some time. Drama bomb!

Maybe you ought to come to Corbin more often. They moved the Dairy Queen to the front of Walmart a couple of years ago. The old building has been setting empty since. But unlike London who like to take down buildings to make parking lots, they made another business and more jobs.I say God help the children of London.

Wymt had a story Liquor Mart's opening day. They reported that when all three liquor stores open 50 jobs will be created. Corbin is getting $45,000 a month just on beer sales. With the liquor stores Corbin will get $75,000 to $100,000 a month plus all the newly created jobs. Not bad considering a bunch on this site indicated cities could hardly get a thing from taxes on alcohol sales.

Go Corbin,at least you people are not stuck in the old ages. I bet Wildcat Harley Davidson owners, wished they had built their shop in Corbin, where they could at lease have a restaurant on site and serve beer. Maybe the will sale their building to the people putting in the new flea market, and move to Corbin, where they can have a little fun.. All London wants anyway is a bunch of flea markets and vendor malls. So Go Corbin Go

Why do drunks always lie. It only 30 full time jobs and 10 part time jobs. 90% are min. wages jobs. Just one of our McDonald employ more then 100. The payroll of this one place is atleast 2 times the 3 liquor place. So if London just get one more chain place to eat it will provide more jobs then 3 liquor joint. I have not seen any new places deciding to locate their So where are all the jobs the wet say will come.

Wait until Corbin is going and you will see growth. I was in Liquor Mart today. The parking lot was full and the store pack. I too saw the news report on WTMT and they reported 50 jobs would be created by
the liquor stores, so no one lied.
