Looks like business as usual. I've heard that place has been closing for the last 10 years. HSBC will continue to make cuts, but the London site will be around for another few years. Last I heard was the credit cards had a very small presence in London and that London was getting more work this summer from another site that is being cut?????? Anyone know if that is true or not???? C'mon, some of you must work there. Don't you morons read ALL of the report or do you just stop reading at the words "budget cuts" and make up the rest as you go?

i know of at least 6 people that they let go cause they didnt make goal and they had been there from 10 years to 5 years, and these were good hard workers that made goal until they jacked it up so high no one is hitting it now, just a matter of time and all will be gone at least they get to draw unemployment for a year.

In order to be fired for production, you have to finish in the bottom 15% on a consistent basis. Why wouldn't they fire you? Is there someone else out there that wouldn't fire you for the same thing?

well when you have the same people always making goal your gonna have the same people (most always) in the bottom 15 - and those in the bottom 15 are still showing up and doing the same job as everyone else. Someone has to fill the bottom of the barrell.

That's what I've always felt. When you fire the bottom 15%, the next group takes their spot. Now people that were doing OK are in the bottom 15%.

Obviously you aren't doing the same job as the others or you would not be in the bottom 15.

There will always be people in the bottom 15%, that's a no brainer. However, the bottom 15% should not always be the same people. If it is, your not doing a good job, and need to find something else to do. Finishing in the bottom 15% a few months does not get you fired. Finishing in the bottom 15% consistently will. It's like any job, work hard, you do well, slack and you'll be sent packing.
they will fire you

HSBC is full of dumbass' including managers and employees alike, the smart goals are high but obtainable if it wasnt for oversets and people like brooke gaines and russell paquette over setting every account they work, if people followed policy and done their job correctly it might be a little more competitive also losing points because reports are fucked up hurts too..i lost 300 points in a weekend and nobody could tell me where they went just disappeared into thin air, after that i quit trying why try if your not rewarded, but manager favortism is a big issue at HSBC
That manager
favoritism must be why you got your sr specialist! Huh?

Do you want to change your comment now? Latest I have heard is that Department Managers are telling employees to start making preparations and plans for when they close the doors such as looking for new employment, checking into going back to school, and insurance.

when it was first opened back at dogpatch was when that company was something real, irvin levin would be truly disappointed at who he sold his company to and what they have done to so many people i knew this day would come and it's coming if you disagree with someone big out there you are gone it's not professional but it's how it works

When hell vomited, out came HSBC! Their entire organization is based on LIES, DECEPTION, INCOMPETENCE and POOR LEADERSHIP, not to mention their shady ways. Their logo should instead be "The world's local Skank". HSBC experience- ALL negative!! No wonder their customer service sucks! They retain incompetent, unprofessional personnel from HR to managers at the retail level while unwittingly fire good talent. It's a good thing cause it resembles a sweatshop - low pay, slave labour, no appreciation, bad management, angry & frustrated customers. They don't give a damn either. Management should grow horns and carry around a pitchfork. Horrible crooks. So glad not to be working for them anymore, its the greatest thing that ever happened. Free from their shackles...save your souls from these blood sucking vampires.
