Yah, thanks for your support. The store is not run by the same person as before. I didn't realize this kind of store was once there. I hope that people will come out and take a look around the store and if you have clothing you would like to sell, give us a chance to get them sold for you.

I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding an outfit in the window we will address that issue. All items in the store are for sale and we want everyone to have a good experience while shopping. It's our goal to offer quality clothing at a fair price. As far as any funny smells in the store, I'm not sure what you are talking about there. We do burn scentsy products maybe it was just a scent you didn't enjoy. I make sure the store is clean and has no funky smells every night before I lock up, it's really important to me for the store to smell good.
I lot of ppl have allergies and perfumes and candles affect them.

I do understand that a few people might have allergies that are affected by perfumes, however no one wants to purchase clothing in a store that doesn't smell very good, unfortunately you can't please everyone.

Dont take no clothes from anyone that smell bad if there not clean & neat looking reject them if clothes
are clean they dont stink .Dont let people bring you dirty , nasty junky looking clothes . Your store will smell clean by just using regular cleaning supplies such as lysol , etc .You dont want
to take in any clothes that smell and it is true what the poster said about the candles a lot of people have a difficult time breathing around candles especially if they have asthma or bad lungs. Your store will do fine people like thrift stores better when they can come in and dig & browse through everything and not worry about getting things out of place .I learned this from going in a thrift store where she sold tons of clothes and people waited in line to dig through and buy them before they were ever hanged
Your store will do great just give it a little time for everyone to find out about it and you will be swamped daily especially on days your getting new shipments in .Wish you lots of luck

I will take your suggestions into consideration, thank you for offering intelligent suggestions without bashing. For the record, we don't take anything that stinks, that's the first item on the checklist. As far as people having to dig, there are also people who won't buy anything if they have to dig thru a pile to find it, I just happen to be one of those people, but we do have some items that we could probably do that with if that's what people want.
dont worry

You are welcome .I do hope your business does well we need nice little shops to go into especially in this economy people need and look for bargains more now than ever .
It was just a suggestion it is nice to have everything hanging and i agree it is easier to look through and also i realize now that you sell other peoples items that would be a lot different than just letting people dig through your own boxes and buying the items without you having all the work of pricing and hanging them because i know it is more work keeping up with what is who's
Any new business takes a while for everyone to learn about , word of mouth is the best advertisement and it's totally free .
Yeah sometimes small items like infant clothing , lingerie , Socks, things of that sort is good for bins for people to dig through .

I used to shop with Sugar & Spice Consignment. She let it run down. She had same stuff she had when she opened too. I'll pay it at the wee sale or garage sale cause I'm not lining pockets. My friend said it's like a fancy yard sale now. My understanding is it's supposed to be a boutique. It's far from it. Noting classy about the lady or the place at all. So Hissy you have a great start there not being any competition.

Glitzy, I am not going to get on here and defend the store or our employee, who technically is not an employee, she is simply doing us a big favor by tending the store for us during the day. Honestly it sounds like you haven't personally been in the store. Maybe you should go on over to the blue store across the lot, it might be more to your liking. There are some things we are still working as far as decor, but hey we had to get the doors open so we could start making money for our consignors and to pay the rent, but I'm sure you understand that.

I apologize for my last post. I know Topix is typically where everyone gets bashed and I just wanted to defend our girl Betty Jo. I think I might or hope I misunderstood what you were saying. I have never bought anything at Sugar n Spice but I have been in there and found it to be a very cute store. As far as our store goes again we are simply a place to get some decent clothing without busting the bank.

If i was you i would ignore topix
and go on with building my business .Your customers will grow your business by telling all there friends .No matter who you are or what you sell there is always someone to complain London is the worse place i've ever seen in this world for jeolous people .
When people look for bargains they dont care how you decorate your store or if it even has decorations all they care about is finding great deals . Same with some of the girls who work in grocery stores complain about people using foodstamps they never stop to think if it was'nt for them customers they might not have a job .
People around here want to make everything a drama .
uh huh

Glitzy why does a lady have to look classy to run a rag store? as long as she has a nice personality and treats customers good and has great prices and great clothes .who would want to dress up classy
to run a used clothing store be yourself and you will have the customers coming back day after day .

Thats why i havent stopped. I thought it was all baby and kids stuff. Unfortunately you cant find many places in retail that enlist employees who recognize any other words beside "text, xbox, cell ohone, computer and couch"

I've been in there; there are some nice things and the prices are reasonable. I hope they do well; this area needs a good consignment store. None have seemed to last around here.
Wish them well!

We do have clothing for teens and adults as well. The baby items are outside due to space issues, come on in and check it out.

I went to the WeePeat sale last week and on my way home remembered finding out about your store on Topix so I decided to stop and have a look. I got there on Thursday at 10:55 and walked around outside for 10 minutes but the store did not open at 11 and there didn't appear to be anyone inside the store.
