Has got to be the worst bank ever. i sat in the drive thru for 30 minutes waiting to pay a payment when there no one else in front of me in line. when they finally finished my transaction there was not even a thank you. im my opinion thats just rude. we are the ones that pay their paychecks if it wasnt for the customers there would be no need for the bank nor their job

I am not a person who tries to cause anyone trouble with their business. But how many times do people have to read in the news paper or see on the news the reputation that Forcht bank has. Use to be called Laurel National Bank. Your money is not safe at this bank. Go and ask the president if your money is secure if someone makes a withdraw from your account without your approval. I know that some will say o yea they took care of me, but find out what their policy is. It really stinks to think that your money is not protected while in their care. Ask some of the law enforcement agencies about the bank and they will tell you how unsafe the bank is. Of course they may be afraid to say much because as one poster said, Terry Forcht has enough money to burn a wet mule and you know how money talks in London.

My taxes got deposited into someone elses account and they told me that until they collected the money back from that person that there wasnt anything they could do about it, it took me almost a month to get my money. Here lately they have been losing alot of my deposits, so I have already opened an account at another bank and am closing my account there as soon as my checks clear.

It's funny, people would be tempted to discount what they read on Topix just because of it's nature, but what other bank in this STATE can you find as much negativity for than Forcht? As for me, it's no great surprise, I know exactly what they're about, and I'm just looking forward to the day that everyone else knows it too. I love that post about the wet mules... funny! Wet mule or not, though, small towns and bad reputations don't mix. Especially not when you're screwing with people's money! I have a feeling their day is coming. Did anyone see the other thread that talked about them going under? What is that about I wonder... My mouth is watering! haha!

Who was the person stealing other people's money, before it became forcht bank? Weren't people taking out a loan for $10g and then he was financing for $11g and pocketing $1g?

I agree this place is pathetic. I have had trouble with about every area of this bank. I think they change their rules daily on everything going on there. They can stick their damned bank cards up their asses. They don't work more than they do work, most of the girls that work there are snobs and rude. When you call someone to complain its all abunch of stupid excuses and they make YOU look like the one that don't know what the hell is going on when NO ONE there bothers to tell you in the first place. No wonder Ben Johnson done what he done....because everyone there is too Freakin Stupid to know whats going on. I HATE FORCHT BANK.

FORCHT BANK EARNS HIGHEST RATING FOR

SAFETY AND SOUNDNESS

BauerFinancial gives bank group five-star “superior” rating

(July 21, 2008)– Forcht Bank has received a five-star “superior” ranking from Florida based BauerFinancial, Inc., the nation’s leading independent bank rating and research firm. It is the fifth consecutive time in as many quarters that Forcht Bank has received BauerFinancial’s highest rating and the 14th consecutive quarter that BauerFinancial has recommended Forcht Bank based on its safety and soundness.

“We are proud that Forcht Bank remains a strong community based bank,“said Terry E. Forcht, Forcht Bancorp Chairman.“We attribute our superior rating to the high customer service standards we maintain and the level of trust our customers have in Forcht Bank.”

Each of the financial institutions on BauerFinancial’s “recommended” bank report is safe, financially sound and is operating well above its regulatory capital requirements. Each had a tangible capital ratio greater than 6 percent and a total risk-based capital ratio greater than 10 percent. Five-star institutions generally have twice the capital required by regulators.

Forcht Bank ( www.forchtbankky.com ), with more than 400 employees, operates 34 banking centers in Fayette, Jefferson, Boone, Grant, Taylor, Pulaski, Laurel, Whitley, Knox, McCreary and Green County. Forcht Bank currently has more than $1 billion in assets, placing it among the top 10 banks based in Kentucky according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

BauerFinancial, Inc., headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, has been reporting on and analyzing the performance of U.S. banks and credits unions for more than 25 years. Information on BauerFinancial’s star-rating system can be obtained through their Web site at www.bauerfinancial.com .

I think the bank has done what it should do under these circumstances. The employee that was at fault is no longer with the bank and they are trying to correct everything that they can. An employer has no way of knowing prior to an employee doing something wrong all they can do is deal with the sitution when it happens and it seems like Forcht Bank has done just that.

My husband banks there and has for about 3or4 months now and still has not got his debit card from them. He went in and asked them about it and they never even sent the form in to recieve the debit card. I think they need to hire new people who can do there job and do it right.

"the truth" AND "banking customer" from Orlando... which one of the Forcht banks do you work for anyway? That's the only reason I can think of that you'd be so defensive over them. If you're just a happy customer, that's great for you, you're lucky. Wait until you're sitting in the shoes of someone who's waiting for the bank to "do the right thing", then we'll see how many five star reports you copy and paste. Besides, "former employee" has it about right. Those things are about as accurate and reliable as... well... a Topix forum! haha~

But to each his own... they aren't all bad, there are some great people that work there. I wish everyone could just treat others the way they want to be treated, we'd all be a lot better off. Orlando, I hear where you're coming from, and I am not at all mocking your position, please don't read me that way. I just speak from experience of those I know, and the pain that's been caused to them. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

I am personally a close friend of terry forcht and hes a great man, he's not pocketing money and i think its sad that you people have nothing better to do than sit on here and talk trash about him. The banks are not close to closing, and even if they were to ever close terry also owns radio stations, jewelry stores, nursing homes, and everything else in the world. so please people, the bank is most def. not suffering

I banked at Laurel National and they SCREWED me royally! I even had proof and they still would not give me my money. They made up some big long sob story. I did make a huge scene in front of people and told them they better get their money out of that bank before they got screwed too. I know a girl that worked there and she told me she quit because of the way they were cheating people and they had been doing it for a while.

Yeah they also have a man working in the Loan Department that has worked for 1st National Bank for years and was either fired or demoted. He's now at Forcht Bank. He is a liar and helps cover up the truth for his clients to keep them out of jail.
