Brian Seidel said he was called to Faith Assembly to be the pastor. Then he joined the National Guard for extra income and now has been deployed to Iraq. But now he says he has been called to be the missionary to the soldiers. Seidel needs to be replaced asap. Faith Assembly deserves a full time pastor!!!

Yes we have lost a lot of members since he became pastor. This may be the final straw. Church services have been so much better since his departure. I guess the Lord does work in mysterious ways.

Brian Seidel has been in the military for much of his life. When doors open and you are called you follow. This man is in this for all the right reasons and is the best we have had in this part of the country for many years. Sometimes people don't want to endure anything and want to be entertained...search yourself and look at the bigger picture.

There have been at least 13 families that have left Faith since Seidel has been pastor......so tell me again what the bigger picture is.

A worthless person, a wicked man,
Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,
Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet,
Who points with his fingers;
Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,Who spreads strife.
Therefore his calamity will come suddenly;
Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.

If you are a member there and feel he needs to be replaced, bring it up at the business meeting. Don't post on Topix. It is hardly the place for Christians to discuss church business.

We have endured the side show that's gone on there that has been a disgrace for a couple of years now.

If you people that started this thread are examples of what kind of people you have in your congregation then I feel very sorry for you all. Just by the tones of your written words would indicate to anyone that there is not Christian amongst your group.

You are right Pathetic....we have all back slid due to Seidel and his wife.....but that's what you get with a preacher who learns to be a preacher in college and goes to the highest bidder.

Do something to take back your name. Read and sign this petition for reform of topix. The damage this website causes is unreal

The only person you can blame for back sliding is yourself. Grow up and take some responsibility for your own life. Pastor Brian is a Godly man, who was blessed by the Lord to have an education that allowed him grow in wisdom. No one is perfect, but these remarks about only being concerned with money is nonsense. If he only wanted money, he probably wouldn't have used his extensive education to become a pastor... If you claim to be a "Christian" member at Faith, I suggest re-reading Matthew 7:3-5-- "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye. You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and the you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Remember this next time you believe that God has appointed you as judge..

How many pastors has Faith Assembly had in the last 20 years? 8-10? Has it been the pastor every time? Some of the families that go there have been there for years. Is it really a problem with the men they have chosen? How could "good" Christians like them have been wrong SO many times? Jesus couldn't be the pastor at Faith Assembly!

praise the lord that we have some "good" christians in this town who can pass judgement on someone who is serving the lord. not only is he serving the lord but he is serving his country to keep people like you safe, even when you are sitting behind your computers and your fake names bashing him for doing what he feels god has called him to do. there is a group of people at faith assembly who have been there for too long and feel they should have a say in how the church should be run, well i say if you have a problem with the pastor in your church then find a different one that is good enough for you. the congregation loves pastor brian and he is a good man and his wife is a good woman. I highly doubt that he would take his degree from west point academy and join the army where he has to be apart from his family for some extra money? maybe you should think about you accusations before you say them. you knew he was in the military when he was hired at the church, so why was it so shocking to you that he got deployed? i can personally say that my family and i will never be back in the doors of faith assembly of god. wickedness wont produce miracles or bring people to god. you should all be ashamed of yourself. some christians you all are, instead of worrying about pastor and his motives and his problems, i would seriously be praying for your own salvation and wickedness in your hearts!

Turn away from evil and do good, and your descendants will always live in the land; for the LORD loves what is right and does not abandon his faithful people. He protects them forever, but the descendants of the wicked will be driven out. The righteous will possess the land and live in it forever
Psalm 37:27

Daily Horoscope for May 19

Leo

This is a good day for concentrating on activities that boost your self-esteem and sense of satisfaction. Do the very best job you can manage, partly for your own sense of pride and partly because it's important for you that bosses and superiors know what you're capable of. There should be good news about a pay rise, perk or a new job that's in the pipeline.
