It was a man that fell while trying to climb up to turtle snout. He fell a long way and was injured badly. I believe he is from Lexington. Not sure though.

You don't read well do you. Laurel lake and walmart are so the same place.. If I'm not mistaken they flew him out from Marsh Branch which is pretty damn far from Corbin's walmart. Hey gay boy the forum for Cody is labeled Fatal Accident In Laurel County incase you have any more problems, they are already bitching about who caused it.

the man was from Lexington as I was there when chris jackson pulled him from the water. at about 630 pm saturday afternoon he was climbing up to turtle head rock and his foot slipped. he fell and hit several times on the way down and landed face down in the water. chris jumped in along with the guy he was with whose first name escapes me but last name is wynn. they took him to marsh branch and flew him out and i later heard at holly bay from randy that he didnt make it. please remember his family in your prayers as he was a very young man.

The other guys last name was Kincer but he was with Wynn. Randy told me today that he doesn't know for sure whether or not he made it. Obviously I hope so but I was there too and those were some bad head injuries and possible internal too. The ambulance service was very quick to respond which anyone who goes to the lake should greatly appreciate.

I was there. My husband Chris Kincer was the first one to him and helped pull him onto the boat. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. We too have heard that he didn't survive the fall.

I am curious because it hasn't been on the news and I would imagine that if he had died due to an accident like that at Laurel Lake that it would definitely be on the news.

where exactly is that rock? we were there sunday at the rock near the spill way that all the kids jump from. The water was way down but we didn't see anyone jumping. We left about 430pm. I don't know the name of the rock.

The rock is down around the cliffs. Almost where you can't go any further by power boat.

That description really narrows it down. "Turtle Snout" or "Dogface" as some call it is up near the head of Craigs Creek. It is a large rock that sticks out and gives the appearance of a turtle's snout and would be on your left coming from the main lake. Many people raft their boats up in this area on the weekends and people have jumped off of the rock for as long as I can remember. I haven't seen anything on the news so hopefully whoever it was is alright.

Just to let everyone know, I was the one that fell from the rock on July 31. I suffered a severe skull fracture, a broken neck, and a bruised spinal cord. After the accident I was paralyzed everywhere except for my left arm.

After a long stay at Cardinal Hill hospital and tons of physical therapy, I have made an amazing recovery! I have regained all my movement back and I've been walking with a cane now. I continue to do out patient PT and I should make a full recovery by the start of next year.

Thank you for your thoughts and concerns about my injury! I truly believe that God has been by my side this entire time, and that is the only reason I am still here and have been able to recover.

Any FYI, drinking alcohol at the lake is NOT a good idea. Let my story be an example for the future so that someone else does not make the same mistake I did.
