Donica.. I hope you enjoy the quiet time, it takes some getting use to. Shawn ( he may not know it) still has his quilt he made in your class along with his stick horse..LOL

I believe you will miss the hugs from little arms and praise from parents, but I am sure you have many memories too keep you content for a very long time.

Good Luck!

Donica was so good for our son. He had her for kindergarten and first grade. She made him toe the line, but always in a loving, consistent way. Even after graduation, he would drop by her classroom if he saw her working there just to say "hi." Speaking of which, Donica was a very dedicated teacher; she must have spent 1000's of hours prepping on weekends. What a difference she has made in so many lives. Have a wonderful retirement!

Oh Donica, what an amzing woman. She was so much more than a teacher. I was fortunate to have had her as my kindegarten teacher 26 years ago. I will never forget the lessons I learned or how it felt to be "the most important person". No other teacher I ever had could hold a candle to her love, patience and dedication. You will be missed and loved forever by generations of the families that you touched!

Donica was truly the Best way for my daughter to have been introduced to school. Erica was a dreamer and Donica taught her to love school, challanged her to work at her highest capacity and to be kind to others. Donica is by far one of the finest teachers Michael and I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and having her as an educator of our childwas the best yet. There are very few times that go by that we don't remember something from kindergarden, especially Donica! Good luck, and enjoy retirement!
Thank You Donica

I attended Durham schools, but did not have the pleasure of Donica as my teacher 23 years ago. I will forever be jealous of all of you who experienced her kindergarden. I still remember all the stories my friends would tell me about the love and inspiration that happened in her classroom. I heard these stories for many years. And while I didn't get to experience her wonderful kindergarden, I remembered these stories and looked for these qualities when I began the search for kindergarden for my girls last year.
Thank You Donica for being an amazing example.
