I've currently been clean and sober now for 2 and a half years thanks to the help of the suboxone treatment program. It has helped me regain the love and trust of my family, friends, and everyone around me.I now have complete control of my life and im living a happy and healthy life with my children and fiance.I recently found out that the current doctor thats been perscribing my suboxone for the past seven months is closing her practice and im in desperate need of a new doctor quick.I was just windering if anyone knows if there is any doctors that perscribe the medication around here and if they are taking new patients?

Okay I don't know you and I'm not going to degrade you on here. However, when you say you have been clean and sober, you just mean sober. If you were clean, you would not have a deperate need to find a new doctor. You regained the trust of your familiy, friends and all your associates. Now is the time to make them really proud and get off any kind of prescribed addictive drugs. If your doctor is closing her practice and you know when her last day is going to be. Then try taking less suboxone every day until she closes. Afterwards, maybe you won't have a need or desire for it or any morphine opiate. I am not somebody to rail against drug users or abusers. As a matter of fact 97 percent of my friends do pain pills either abusively or recreationally. I'm just saying, why keep doing something that has totally messed up your life before? If you have a chance to get off any kind of addiction, you should take it. I'm sure that your family and friends and especially your fiancé will support you in your endeavour. But just so you won't get the idea I am not just harping on you, there is a doctor in South Williamson,Ky that was taking new patients a couple of months ago. He had an ad in the Williamson Daily News back in April and May. However, I do hope you will take the oppurtunity to really be clean and sober while you can. But, regardless of anything I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do.

sorry, but you're not clean and sober if you're still using a drug. any drug. even suboxone or methadone. they are still drugs. they're simply legal drugs that you can obtain cheaply. if you really wanted to be clean and sober, you wouldn't substitute one drug for another. you're still a junkie, simply a junkie to a different substance. it's sad that you can't see that. however addicts rarely see reality for what it is.

don't say you're clean and sober when you're not. state the truth, that you are still using, you're simply using a substance more easy to obtain.

No I do belive that you are the one that is clueless.Everybody has their own problems and they are not always the same as someone else's.The one thing that I know for a fact is that since I have been on suboxone I have become a much different and better person than I was before.I was a totally different person a few years ago than I am today.I am extremely proud of what I am doing and how im living my life these days and my family is very proud of me to.I can guarentee if you met me you would have absoulutely no idea that I was on the medication.I am suppose to take 2 suboxone daily and I only take 1/4 daily.I think that is pretty darn good if you ask me.

You are very wron.It is not cheap at all.I pay $385 monthly out of my pocket just for my doctor and $176 a week for my prescription so no it's not any cheaper.

Your logic is warped. The only thing making moonshine illegal is that the government does not get their taxes out of it. Alcoholic beverages are legal as long as all the little hands are stuffed with money from the taxes. The law says the manufacturing of, possession of, selling of, or the transportation of moonshine is illegal. How many people do you know manufacture morphine based opiates in their garage or basement? But to answer your question: No, the person is not clean or sober, but with the alcohol content being less in the Jack Daniels than the moonshine, you could say they are weaning themselves off the hard stuff.
I knew there was legal moonshine and I understood the criteria for making it legal, but my post was comparing two different alcohol based products with opiates, which is the subject of this thread and the way I broke it down, I can't understand it going over anyones head.
The alcohol content, more often than not, of illegal moonshine is less than bonded whiskey, it all depends on how it was tempered and how much a moonshiner wants to get out of a run.

the only differences are that the drug you use now is cheap compared to what you get on the street. in effect, you don't lie, cheat, steal, prostitute, strip, etc to support your habbit. thats it. you're still on drugs.

good would be not doing any drug period. but the weak need a crutch.

Well whatever you say Jgirl.Im not going to let what you say bring me down or make feel like less of a person.Maybe you are one of those people who need to focus on other peoples problems so your not feeling so bad and insecure about your own.I know alot of people like that and thats what they have to do so their own lives dont seem to be so miserable. But like I said,im not going to let you bring me down thats just your opinion.Opinions are like assholes everybody has one:)

i have better things to do than to focus on your trashy life and drug problems. sorry. you're the one who made it public knowledge anyway by creating this post. if you can't take the criticism that will come along with posting, don't post.

i've said it before and will say it again. i had a bad drug problem, years ago. i haven't touched ANYTHING in over 8 years. and i didn't need to trade one drug for another to do it. all it takes is will power and determination.

if you really wanted to live a clean and sober life off of drugs, you would get off the suboxone to. but you're not looking to live a life clean and sober, you're looking to find a cheaper more accessible drug. that's my experienced opinion.

if you're still using a drug, any drug, legal or not, as a crutch to get you through your daily life, you are still an active addict. you still use. you simply changed what you use. that's not getting off drugs. not at all.

It's a junkie that thinks people telling them the truth about them still being a junkie, means that person must have a horrible life to tell the junkie the truth about their situation.
Yeah that's it... It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it's, you know, the TRUTH or anything.
More awesome junkie logic: being clean now means you are still taking.
And I thought you junkies were only hilarious when your found overdosed in a ditch beside the road.
Yep its a shame im not like all the other junkies though thats shooting up in front of their kids or taking their children on drug runs with them and im not exposing my children to that kind of life.Damn im just a junkie to suboxone not the needle so I guess I must be an ameture and not a full blown needle junkie.I guess you would be just so much better off if they found me dead in a ditch like you said where I couldnt take care of my children and raise them myself like im doing now.I guess they would be so much better off in a foster home where they dont get the proper care they need and welfare could be paying for them too huh.Thats a damn shame, lmao.
