Rhabbi wrote: What about the Jews? Are they going to Heaven? They don't believe that Jesus died for their sins, so does that mean they are going to Hell? Please answer... In John 3, Jesus told Nicodemus (a ruler of the Jews) that no one can enter Heaven unless they are born again. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO man cometh unto the Father, but by ME." There are over 7 billion (that's 7,000,000,000) people on earth. If every hair on every person's head stood for one century, all this amount of time would still not be as long as the 1st second of eternity. The Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. A lot of churches does not baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus. Wonder why?

Do you withdraw money from an Automated Teller Machine or an ATM? Jesus said in Matthew 28 to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. In Acts, we do see references to being baptized in the name of the Lord/Jesus. Colossians tells us that in Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Therefore, either way is scriptural and acceptable. Baptizing in Jesus' name would be like ATM, and in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost would be spelling it all out (like Automated Teller Machine).

God word says it clearly. Romans 10:13 13 For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Not call upon the name of the Lord AND be baptized. WHOSOEVER shall CALL upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved!

WHOSOEVER shall CALL upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved! we have more than just 1 verse in the Bible to live by. In Acts 22:10 Jesus Christ Spoke to Paul from Heaven and told him "it shall be told thee of *ALL THINGS* which *ARE APPOINTED* for thee *TO DO*." And in (v16) Here's what He told Paul *TO DO*....Acts 22:16 (16) And now why tarriest thou? arise,*AND* be baptized,*AND* wash away thy sins,*CALLING ON* the name of the Lord. Paul was *BAPTIZED CALLING* on the name of the Lord. And since you quoted from Rom.10, lets stay in Rom. and go back to Rom.6:3-5 where they was baptized. 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as [were baptized] into Jesus Christ [were baptized] into his death? 4 Therefore we are [buried with him]**by baptism into death**: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: One can't be raised/resurrected with Him if one hasn't been planted with Him.

Show me one place/reference in the Bible that they baptized and used the words Father,Son,and Holy Ghost. The Apostles had revelation and understood how Jesus commanded them to do things. That's why **EVERY** reference that you find how they baptized and taught to baptize was in the name of Jesus Christ.

There are two things to consider here. Should a person be baptized? Yes, it is a good thing to do. Does a person have to be baptized to be saved? The answer to that is a resounding NO. Jesus told the thief on the cross ""Today you will be with me in paradise" and he had not been baptized. If a child who had not been baptized gets killed would the go to hell since they haven't been baptized? These are NOT exceptions to the rule. It is either one way or nothing at all. Baptism is being obedient to God and it is a good thing to do, but saying that being baptized is necessary for salvation is undermining why Jesus died on the cross. WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved! Spread the good news! Hallelujah!

Jesus told the thief on the cross you will be with me in paradise. The thief was never baptized. What is someone accepts Jesus into their hearts and asks forgiveness and then gets hit by a car and killed on his way across the road to be baptized? Would he be damned to hell just because he wasn't baptized? There are no exceptions to the rule. It is either one way or the other. If Jesus told someone who had not been baptized that they would be with him in paradise, then it is clear baptism is NOT necessary for salvation. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and all we must do is call upon the name of the Lord and we SHALL be saved. That is what God's word says.

Do you think if the thief wasn't on the cross that he would've been baptized? Jesus preached baptism, commanded baptism, and the apostles also commanded it. If someone says they believe and they've called upon the name of the Lord and rejects baptism they reject Christ and His doctrine. Baptism is just as assential to the gospel of Christ as the rest of the gospel. And if they happen to get hit by a car b4 they make it to the water, well that's for God to decide and not us. And if someone in America happens to be hanging on a cross while they accept Christ then maybe they do have a good excuse not being able to make it to the water. But if not, then no excuses of why they *DIDN'T WANT TO GET BAPTIZED.*

It cannot be both ways. The thief was not baptized and he was saved. That was not an exception to the rule. That proves that SALVATION is full and free and anyone only need to call upon the name of the Lord to be granted it. Eph. 2:8, "For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."
