Hi everyone im looking to maybe move to wv and just checking out the different areas. I live and work in the d.c are and tired of the commute and fast pace life. So basically wondering about jobs, social/dating scene and places to rent. Im early 30's with no kids with a degree in business, i work in marketing and finance. So just wanted to see what residents thought of the area. Thank you in advance for your comments and help.

you will regret it moving here. The dating scene would consist of skanked out females who don't leave their mamas ..missing teeth..no real education past 7th grade. they cannot even form full sentences. The roads are horrible, housing is a choice between tar paper shacks or over priced mobile homes. No night life, except the movies. No dept. stores except walmart. High prices in gas and insurance. Everyone smokes and looks 15 years older than they really are. It is depressing as heck. I would say move to Penn. or the upper counties of wv if you want to get away from the city. Logan is a death sentence.

C'mon over to Logan. That business degree will surely help you land a job at McD's which is the area's biggest employer. With your marketing and finance experience, you can easily start out taking orders and operating a cash register! Hell, someone of your caliber can easily step right into management... if you can physically identify an apple pie, a chicken mcnugget and a vanilla shake without any help, you'll qualify for assistant associate to the assistant associate assistant manager which pays an extra 2 cents above minimum wage! Now of course you'll want to blend in with the local natives, so while at McD's be sure to place your face directly over the fry vats so the boiling oil will splatter into your face and create countless sores so you'll look just like the local meth addicts. You'll also need to knock out your teeth and chew on some fresh cow shit to emulate the prevailing oral hygiene. You'll need to go without any sleep for two months straight to develop the same mental alertness as Loganites. Most importantly, you can never change or wash your clothes and never ever use deodorant.

Logan is NOT this bad lol yea there are drug heads an hookers, but you live in DC so you've seen worse, the reason there having problems getting a job is because they have no education lol . You have a degree so you prolly won't have a problem finding a job. Just come in for a weekend visit an see for yourself wat you think of Logan b4 trusting topix for advice. I'm a born an raised resident of Logan, I'm not on drugs, I have a great job that I support my wife an two kids with, I live in a good neighborhood, nobody's ever broke into my home. I leave my doors unlocked at all times unless I'm out of town on vacation, so just ignore all these idiots that give Logan a bad name... Hope you enjoy our town when you decide to visit :)

How bout North Dakota and get out of that depressing area. Plenty of jobs in North Dakota. They are begging for help.
