That whole Kinellon area has been a disaster waiting to happen. Juliet Lake is a privately maintained lake (more of a large pond really) and the fact that the sluice gates were opened full throttle let torrents of water undermine the road above the inlet. Why does not the state do something about this? Infrastructure upgrades would seem to be in order after this lesson could have been worse.
