A Niagara Falls mother who admits she smothered her toddler son learned her fate Thursday.

Such a sad story, that poor child didnt have a chance. Its hard to imagine how someone can do that to any baby let alone their own child.

I think this monster should get what she gave her son, a child that young can not defened himself.if it's that bad why didnt she call her parents,a friend, the father to come over? that is why some people shouldnt be allowed to have children. it disgusts me!! we are suppost to teach our childern the way of life not take them out of it, i have a 4 and 3 year old, and i couldnt imgain anything like that. i have had to but them in thier cribs and go smoke on the porch to get it back together. i am glad not to be on that family her parents have to be going threw hell.

I realize that what she did was wrong,but she was an awfully depressed person with a medical history.That doesnt justify her actions which clearly were wrong,but some of the statements on this blog are rediculious.The effect this has had on her family has been painfull to say the least,Ive seen it first hand.I know her father quite well and believe me this has had some adverse effects.

My spouse works in mental health. its a horrible disease and its really incredible how the mind can play tricks on you.

She thought she was saving her son from dispair b/c she had no positive outlook or hope. Its been happening all over (infantcide). People who are parents get so depressed they make the decision to take the lives of their children b/c they think the children are suffering as well.

Its so sad. that poor poor child. That father was crushed today in the courthouse, hes going to have to battle the thought of what more he could have done. Depression spreads like the flu.
