Lockport has MILLIONS!?!?!? REALLY?? Where??
It states that his bankruptcy was EIGHTEEN years ago. Surely anybody can learn the proper way to handle finances in EIGHTEEN years' time? One is actually kind of FORCED to become financially responsible after a bankruptcy. There's a reason that the red mark of bankruptcy is removed from your credit profile in ten years. So, no, it's not really anybody's business at this point.
Turner was a fool 18 years ago when he went Chapter 7 on his own mother. He doesn't show much has changed in his "MO" and probably is getting ready to do it again. Is his mother still alive? He has victimize the tax payers of Lockport, what has changed? That is why he and his minions are called the "Slimy slate"!!

If you are hurt by the local taxes more than the lack of interest in Lockport real estate ...I would assume that the trailer you rent and reside in, is why you focus on short term issues. This is why the founders gave property owners voting rights ...you provide a good example of why the founders held those beliefs.

FYI - the city accounts for roughly 10% of most citizens prop tax bills, depending on your other taxing bodies.

I'm not in favor of it, but even if the city increased their tax 2% that would be about .2% increase on your prop taxes.

Driving through our ramshackle downtown yesterday I could not help but notice the “Streit for Mayor” sign in the window of the Tallgrass restaurant. When the most successful business in our downtown throws their support to Streit, enough said for me. To be fair though there has been some new development downtown, I noticed a bunch of new weeds sprouting up on the vacant lot where a building once stood until it burned to the ground. Two votes for Streit of this house!

And your mother wonders if those two years of high school were worthwhile?

Once again I'm asking a simple question. What on the mailer wasn't true about Turner?
As for the town hall meeting, I don't believe you attended. But just in case you want to learn about our next mayor follow these links.

I'm just wondering, how impressed were you with Turner at his town hall meeting? Oh, that's right. He didn't have one. He hasn't appeared in front of an audience and answered one question.
This is what we want in a Mayor!
